We're looking for a Legal Advisor, Trust & Safety to sit at the intersection of platform regulation, privacy law, and online safety compliance. You will advise PURE’s Trust & Safety and Product teams on the legal and regulatory obligations that shape how we build and operate safety features for a sex-positive, adults-only dating app. What will you do? - Navigate Age Assurance & Verification Law: Monitor and interpret the fast-moving global landscape, translating strict deadlines into concrete product and operational requirements. - Manage Biometric & Privacy Compliance: Oversee privacy compliance as it applies to identity and photo verification, ensuring data minimization and compliant retention schedules for our verification vendors. - Handle Child Safety Obligations: Oversee our CSAM detection, reporting, and preservation duties, while managing underage account incidents with absolute precision. - Steer Platform Regulation: Own compliance for global platform laws, including the EU Digital Services Act and dating-app-specific legislation. - Oversee Law Enforcement & Government Requests: Define the legal basis for disclosures and provide clear guidance to the moderation team on high-priority escalations. - Govern Content Policy & Moderation Legality: Advise on ban/appeal processes and ensure the legal defensibility of our enforcement decisions. - Drive Horizon Scanning: Proactively flag new legislation and enforcement trends across our top 20 markets, delivering practical guidance. Qualifications - Qualified lawyer with 5+ years of experience in tech and platform regulation. - Deep familiarity with GDPR and EU platform law. - Strong working knowledge of US state-level online safety/privacy legislation and the UK OSA. - Direct experience advising Trust & Safety or content moderation teams. - Comfortable working with adult content and sex-positive products. - Able to give operational, risk-calibrated, and highly actionable advice to non-lawyers. Requirements - Experience in a dating app, social platform, UGC service, or a law firm advising them. - Multi-jurisdiction comfort is essential. - Ability to draft clear user- and regulator-facing language. Role Description As a Counselor at Behavioral Health Group (BHG), you will assist patients in identifying and leveraging their strengths to achieve social, educational, and occupational goals. You will help patients prepare for and adjust to a drug-free life, providing emotional and physical support for various challenges. Reporting to the Counselor Supervisor or Program Director, you will ensure adherence to schedules, program policies, and all regulatory requirements, performing duties within the scope of your license or certification. - Conduct regular alcohol and drug abuse counseling sessions and group sessions as required. - Orient patients to treatment program operations and procedures. - Collect and assess social, educational, economic, and vocational information. - Develop and revise patient treatment plans, maintaining comprehensive records. - Make appropriate referrals and perform necessary follow-ups. - Assist in implementing new programs and advise on caseload management. - Provide in-service training to staff and hold a basic understanding of addiction. - Conduct intake/readmission services and provide supportive follow-up counseling. - Provide crisis intervention and inter-agency documentation. - Coordinate care with community providers as needed. - Participate in and provide in-service training required by federal, state, local, and accrediting agencies. - Attend conferences, meetings, and training programs. - Schedule and attend regular in-service training. - Perform OBOT services and report any work-related issues immediately. - Other duties as assigned by the supervisory team. - Comply with all federal, state, and local regulatory agency requirements. - Adhere to accrediting agency standards. - Participate in community and public relations activities as assigned. - Demonstrate a commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment. The College offers fulfilling opportunities for adjunct faculty to teach part-time, remotely. - Course: Counseling Practicum - Clinical training is completed under the supervision of an approved clinical site supervisor and a faculty supervisor. - Counselors-in-Training (CITs) build, refine, and apply counseling skills in real client settings while integrating program competencies. - The faculty supervisor provides oversight of students’ clinical training and documentation. - Facilitates required synchronous group supervision and supports students in meeting established hour requirements. - Other Courses Will Include: Counseling Practicum II, Counseling Internship I, Counseling Internship II, & Counseling Internship III. Candidates must be available for a committed 44 weeks on either Mondays or Thursdays (their choice) for a weekly zoom call from 4:00 - 5:30 pm AZ time. These days and times are non-negotiable. Instructors take students from Practicum through Internship I and Internship II for a total of 44 weeks. Qualifications - Doctorate degree in Counselor Education. - Independent licensure in counseling or a closely related field (e.g., LPC, LMHC, LCPC, or equivalent). - OR Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling or related counseling degree AND 5 years work experience as an Independent Licensed Counselor. - Relevant training for in-person and/or distance counseling supervision. - Relevant training in the technology utilized for supervision. - Maintain an active membership in a recognized counseling association. - Show evidence of experience in one or more of the following areas: counseling advocacy; research or other scholarly work; at least two years of clinical practice; or counselor education.
