• Produce and publish all onboard guest communications (daily program, menus, signage, event collateral, newsletters, and digital materials) accurately and on time. • Design all content (layout, imagery, copy) in full alignment with Aman at Sea brand standards and aesthetic. • Proofread, edit, and quality-check all materials, ensuring zero-error, on-brand output. • Manage menu production in all venues and languages, coordinating translation, localization, and approvals. • Support translation and adaptation of all guest communications with departments and external resources • Review final layouts and proactively improve design, content, and presentation quality. • Deliver all additional print, signage, and bespoke design requests, managing priorities and deadlines effectively. • Support communications for special guests, media, and charter programs in coordination with management and corporate office. • Maintain production equipment, ensuring functionality through regular checks and prompt issue resolution. • Manage inventory of paper and consumables, track usage, and coordinate timely replenishment. • Maintain organized digital archives, backups, templates, and administrative records. • Communicate closely with management and departments, while adhering to SOPs, safety standards, and supporting training and additional assignments.
Job Requirements
- Degree or equivalent qualification in graphic design, digital media, journalism, communications, or a related creative discipline.
- Demonstrable professional experience in desktop publishing and graphic design, with a portfolio that reflects strong visual sensibility, typographic precision, and an eye for refined detail.
- Advanced proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and/or equivalent publishing software; confident working across both print and digital production formats.
- Experience producing and managing print and digital marketing or communications material in a guest-facing, hospitality, or luxury brand environment is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with large-format printers, photocopiers, scanners, and related production equipment; a practical, hands-on approach to equipment care and maintenance.
- Strong written English with outstanding editorial precision — this role demands absolute accuracy in all published guest communications; excellent proofreading ability is essential.
- Fluency in English plus a minimum of one additional language is required; fluency in two or more additional languages — particularly German, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, or Mandarin — is a significant advantage given the international composition of Aman’s guests.
- Highly organized, self-managing, and able to juggle multiple concurrent production deadlines calmly and without compromise to quality or accuracy.
- A genuine creative curiosity and a personal commitment to craft; someone who takes quiet pride in the excellence of every published piece, however large or small.
- Discreet, professional, and respectful of guest and crew confidentiality at all times; a collaborative team member who communicates openly and contributes positively to the shipboard working environment.
