Role Description VirtueStaff is seeking a relationship-driven and strategic Ad Sales & Account Manager to drive advertising revenue for our client's publication. In this role, your primary mission is to identify, connect with, and advise businesses looking to advertise to our audience. This is an outbound-focused position combining creative prospecting, cold calling, and email outreach with a deeply consultative approach. We are not looking for an aggressive, transactional salesperson; instead, we need an excellent communicator who can naturally build deep relationships with clients, act as a helpful advisor, and align advertising solutions with their business goals. Responsibilities - Initiate contact with prospective advertisers through cold calling, structured email campaigns, and professional social media channels - Collaborate with our internal Editor to identify high-potential targets, research competitor publications to spot active advertisers, and mine internal lead lists for new opportunities - Network natively with current clients and referral partners to build a reliable pipeline of warm introductions and renewals - Act as a helpful advisor to prospects, taking the time to understand their business model and guiding them toward the right ad placements - Manage, log, and systematically follow up with leads through our CRM (Magazine Manager) and ensure communication is tracked flawlessly via Gmail - Exceptional interpersonal skills with the rare ability to be simultaneously highly professional and warmly friendly - A disciplined approach to the sales pipeline, knowing that major ad deals are closed through polite, persistent, and tailored follow-up - Comfortable studying market trends, identifying who is advertising on competing sites, and preparing tailored insights before hopping on a call - Proven professional background in client-facing advisory roles, account management, or B2B sales (ideally within advertising, publishing, or marketing) - Proficiency in Gmail and standard CRM platforms. Prior experience with Magazine Manager and basic navigation within WordPress is a significant advantage - Direct experience selling advertisements or working intimately within the Commercial Real Estate (CRE) ecosystem Qualifications - Proven professional background in client-facing advisory roles, account management, or B2B sales (ideally within advertising, publishing, or marketing) - Proficiency in Gmail and standard CRM platforms - Prior experience with Magazine Manager and basic navigation within WordPress is a significant advantage - Direct experience selling advertisements or working intimately within the Commercial Real Estate (CRE) ecosystem Requirements - Exceptional interpersonal skills - A disciplined approach to the sales pipeline - Comfortable studying market trends Benefits - Work From Home - Performance Bonus
