Role Description The SEO & AI Search Manager is responsible for developing and executing The Fix-It Group's organic search strategy across its portfolio of home service brands. This role owns the strategy, execution, and optimization of: - Search Engine Optimization (SEO) - AI Search Optimization (AEO/AIO/GEO) - Content strategy - Local search - Listings management - Digital content distribution This is a hands-on leadership role that combines strategic planning with execution. The SEO & AI Search Manager coordinates internal resources, traditional SEO agencies, AI technology partners, and content distribution vendors to build a unified organic search program that delivers measurable business results. Key Responsibilities - Organic Search Strategy - Develop annual and quarterly SEO and AI Search roadmaps aligned with business objectives. - Identify opportunities to improve rankings, AI visibility, local search performance, and organic lead generation. - Partner with cross-functional teams to align search initiatives with business priorities. - Monitor industry trends, search algorithm updates, and emerging AI technologies to maintain a competitive advantage. - SEO, AI Search & Content Strategy - Develop and publish a high volume of SEO- and AI-optimized content, including service pages, blogs, FAQs, and supporting website content. - Identify content opportunities through keyword research, analytics, customer insights, and competitive analysis. - Lead content production by coordinating internal resources, traditional SEO agencies, AI technology partners, and content distribution vendors. - Leverage AI tools and agency partners to accelerate content production while maintaining editorial quality, brand consistency, and search performance. - Continuously optimize existing content to improve rankings, conversions, and AI visibility. - Listings & Digital Presence - Oversee Google Business Profiles, Apple Maps, Bing Places, Yelp, Angi, BBB, Nextdoor, Yext, and other third-party lead platforms. - Ensure services, promotions, seasonal offers, and business information are consistently represented across all digital properties. - Maintain the master inventory of services and service areas by brand. - Technical SEO - Prioritize technical SEO initiatives, including indexing, structured data, internal linking, page speed, Core Web Vitals, and site architecture. - Coordinate technical SEO priorities between development teams and agency partners. - Support technical audits and implementation of recommended improvements. - Performance Analytics & Reporting - Develop dashboards and reporting that measure SEO, AI Search, content, listings, and overall organic performance. - Monitor rankings, AI visibility, traffic, conversions, revenue, share of voice, and local search performance. - Deliver monthly and quarterly reporting to General Managers and executive leadership. - Present performance insights, recommendations, and roadmap updates that guide business decisions. - Competitive Intelligence - Evaluate competitor websites, content strategies, AI visibility, local search performance, and organic rankings. - Identify best practices and emerging technologies that improve market share and search performance. - Recommend new SEO, AI Search, and content initiatives based on competitive analysis and industry trends. - Vendor Management - Manage relationships with SEO agencies, AI technology partners, listing providers, and content distribution vendors. - Coordinate internal resources and external partners to ensure work aligns with the organization's SEO and AI Search strategy. - Prioritize projects and vendor investments based on business objectives and ROI. - Build and lead an internal team focused on content development and technical SEO as the function grows. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field. - 5+ years of experience in SEO, content strategy, or organic search marketing. - Experience developing enterprise SEO strategies that drive measurable business results. - Experience managing agencies, AI technology partners, freelancers, or other external marketing vendors. - Experience with AI Search Optimization and AI-assisted content development. - Experience in multi-location, franchise, or home services organizations preferred. - Strong understanding of SEO, technical SEO, local SEO, and AI Search Optimization. - Proficiency with Google Search Console, Google Analytics 4, Semrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, BrightLocal, or similar SEO platforms. - Familiarity with schema markup, CMS platforms, and AI-powered content creation tools. - Strong analytical capabilities with experience using data to drive strategic decision making. - Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and executive communication skills.
