Pharmacy Market Manager, West Region

The Cigna Group

• Lead, coach, and develop Pharmacy Clinical Account Managers and/or Pharmacy Account Executives • Lead pharmacy strategy for the assigned market in alignment with corporate and local objectives • Develop and execute market-specific pharmacy business and service plans to support financial goals • Partner closely with Medical Sales leadership to support integrated sales and retention strategies • Serve as the market lead pharmacy subject matter expert for clients, brokers, and consultants • Retain the assigned book of business through proactive portfolio management and PBM pricing expertise • Support new sales and renewals by leading pharmacy RFP, pricing, and finalist strategies • Drive adoption of pharmacy programs and solutions that lower total cost of care • Oversee hiring, onboarding, performance management, and team resource alignment • Ensure successful new client implementations, renewals, and benefit plan changes • Act as escalation point for complex pharmacy issues in partnership with Service Operations • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and enterprise partners • Represent Cigna Pharmacy Management in market strategy meetings and local industry events

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of PBM experience, preferably in a leadership or management role
  • Extensive pharmacy background (pharmacist or non-pharmacist)
  • Strong expertise in PBM pricing, contracting, and financial strategy
  • Experience with consultative sales and client management methodologies
  • Strong analytical, communication, and executive presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and execute market-level business plans
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% (seasonal)
  • Previous people management experience
  • Knowledge of PBM clinical programs and specialty pharmacy preferred
