Role Description GDIT supports the NASA Shared Services Center (NSSC) located at Stennis Space Center in southern Mississippi. The NSSC mission is to provide timely, accurate, high quality, cost-effective, and customer focused support for selected NASA business and technical services. GDIT has an opportunity at the NSSC for a Junior ServiceNow Developer to contribute to our success in providing IT development services to the NSSC and NASA. The Junior ServiceNow Software Developer roles and responsibilities include: - Recommending best solutions to automate existing and new functionality based on ServiceNow offered applications and modules. - Activation and configuration of ServiceNow applications to meet business needs. - Development of workflows and scripts to personalize existing ServiceNow applications. - Development of ServiceNow custom applications from inception to completion to automate and improve processes. - Working closely with customers to research, design, develop and deliver innovative solutions to improve their business processes. - Assisting in the identification of best practices for development of new and existing ServiceNow applications. - Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to software applications, systems integration, and multiple platforms. - Involved in planning of system and development deployment as well as responsible for meeting software compliance standards. - Evaluating interface between hardware and software, operational requirements, and characteristics of overall system. - Documents testing and maintenance of system corrections. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field. - One year of software development experience. Requirements - ServiceNow Platform, Software Development, Software Systems. - US Citizenship Required: Yes. Preferred Qualifications - ServiceNow Certified System Administrator certification. - Experience with development of ServiceNow workflows, client, and server-side scripting. - Experience with ServiceNow modules to include but not limited to IT Service Management, HR Service Delivery, IT Financial Management, IT Business Management, Software Asset Management. - Web service and database experience is a plus. The likely salary range for this position is $72,877 - $98,599. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range. GDIT typically provides new employees with 15 days of paid leave per calendar year to be used for vacations, personal business, and illness and an additional 10 paid holidays per year. Paid leave and paid holidays are prorated based on the employee’s date of hire. The GDIT Paid Family Leave program provides a total of up to 160 hours of paid leave in a rolling 12 month period for eligible employees.
