• Support the daily sales operations of a building materials distribution center • Work with customers and co-workers to build solid relationships based on trust and competence • Able to handle detailed work quickly and correctly • Support a fast-paced environment with multiple projects going on simultaneously • Utilize the DMSi software Agility, for order entry, purchasing entry and customer information • Develop and maintain product knowledge through training and ongoing learning • Follow up all quotes and handle customer service claims in a timely manner • Able to understand customers’ individual needs and goals is essential; build long-term relationships • Able to initiate projects and processes beyond established practices when directed • Identify and maintain customer opportunities, develop strategies for closing those opportunities
Job Requirements
- 3 years’ experience in sales and/or marketing with an emphasis on territory management
- 1-2 years working in the building materials industry or a similar industry preferred
- High School Diploma
- Clean driving record for the past 5 years
