Job Description

AI Project/Product Manager – PSP, Fintech

OnHires

• This is a hybrid role for a professional looking to make their next career leap into Product Management while maintaining an iron grip on technical delivery. • 70% Project Management / Delivery: Keeping Jira pristine, driving development, unblocking the team, and ensuring absolute predictability regarding timelines and risks. • 30% Product Management: Understanding the product ecosystem, mapping feature dependencies, defining the roadmap, asking stakeholders the right questions, and proposing strategic solutions. • Maintain the Jira backlog as the single source of truth (clean descriptions, clear priorities, active dependencies). • Plan capacity and forecast timelines using Jira Plans (Advanced Roadmaps). • Proactively identify and mitigate delivery risks and delays early in the cycle. • Unblock developers daily through technical clarification, resource reallocation, or escalation. • Run structured, high-focus standups and maintain clear documentation in Confluence (requirements, architectural decisions, task links). • Own the product structure, understanding how features interconnect across multiple internal systems. • Formulate and justify the product roadmap (what we build, in what order, and why).

Job Requirements

  • Proven Delivery Record: Solid practical experience in technical project management. Certifications without real-world practice will not be considered.
  • Advanced Jira Proficiency: Mastery of Tasks, Epics, Links, Workflows, and Jira Plans for top-down prioritization (blocks / relates/depends).
  • Deep Delivery Control: Ability to estimate dev effort roughly, stay "inside the task context," and eliminate root causes of blockers rather than just logging them.
  • Logical Clarity: Ability to explain a task's logic and workflow to anyone without relying on developers. If you don't understand the task, it doesn't go into production.
  • High Autonomy: A self-starter mindset with strong critical thinking, ready to work long/flexible hours initially to hit aggressive goals. We measure success by output and results, not hours tracked.
  • Nice to Have: Experience in Fintech, PSP, or High-Risk payment domains.
  • Nice to Have: Experience working with distributed international teams.
  • Nice to Have: Basic understanding of financial metrics and unit economics.
  • Nice to Have: Hands-on experience with AI products or mature technical ecosystems.

Benefits

  • Direct impact on shaping AI products in a real-world fintech environment.
  • Competitive salary pegged to your skills and delivery speed.
  • 100% remote work with zero bureaucracy and maximum agility.
  • A strong, high-caliber engineering team ready to implement bold ideas.
