• Set-up and Location: WFH • Work Schedule: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM AEDT | 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM PHT • This position involves general responsibility for the support, design and development of new and existing products. • The Draftsman/Mechanical Engineer is involved in all aspects of the product development lifecycle and all details related to assigned projects. • Manage own workflow across time zones, ensuring timely responses and clear communication
Job Requirements
- 3+ years of experience
- Detail drafting of mechanical components and assemblies
- Generate, update, and maintain DraftSight 2D files and SolidWorks models/assemblies/parts/drawings
- Mechanical system design and development (pumps, hydraulic flow systems, piping, structural)
- Perform testing simulations and troubleshooting of designs using virtual tools
- Preparation of accurate Bills of Materials (BOM) and MRP-related documents
- Specification of equipment and materials to suit project requirements
- Designing mechanical components and systems independently
- Preparation of complete drawing packs for review and approval
- Producing and maintaining 3D models and 2D drawings to Australian standards using SolidWorks and DraftSight
- Support projects/products transitioning into production via detailed documentation and remote guidance

• Produce precast product elevations; a design set for the engineer, an approval set for the customer, and a final set for the field to use along with production drawings, steel drawings, and miscellaneous drawings for the plant and vendors use. • Layout precast units to correlate with plans, specifications, addendum, and the bid package • Recommend efficient and cost saving panel layouts to the related parties • Communicate with external contacts (Architects, Engineers, General Contractors, Steel Vendors, Outsource Companies, and their related positions), as well as internal contacts as needed • Document any changes or concerns and forward to the job team • Carry out all other related tasks to reach the goals of the drafting group • Help create and improve standards
• Lead implementation of builder homes into the Higharc Editor, managing task progress and gaps through to delivery • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for builder product leads, translating existing plans and documentation into Higharc-compatible settings • Represent Higharc in technical pre-sales conversations and provide ongoing technical support to platform users • Deliver QA/QC on the Editor product, logging bugs and surfacing issues with precision and context • Contribute subject matter expertise as a target user, providing structured feedback that informs product direction • Assist architecture and engineering teams in defining requirements based on field experience and builder workflows
