• Performs legal and secretarial tasks for assigned attorney(s), with supervision and oversight from their leader • Maintains schedules and calendar for assigned attorney(s) • Composes a variety of correspondence, pleadings and various legal forms • Coordinates time and location of multi-party appearances, including depositions, arbitrations, mediations, Independent Medical Exams (IME’s) meetings and site inspections • Answers telephone calls, emails and handles client inquiries • Receives and processes incoming mail • Contacts clients, witnesses, court reporters, interpreters, claims personnel, and others to confirm scheduled appearances as instructed by assigned attorney(s) • Maintains a thorough knowledge and keeps up-to-date with court rules and legal deadlines
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 1-3 years experience in civil litigation as a legal administration clerk, secretary, or legal assistant required
