Role Description We are currently looking for a strong Backend Engineer with solid architectural understanding and hands-on development experience. You will play a key role in designing and developing sophisticated SaaS/PaaS applications that prioritize performance, usability, and accessibility, and building & leading your own team in the Vietnam office. - Develop and maintain robust, high-performing microservices using Java Spring Boot. - Design and implement scalable and distributed solutions to meet complex business requirements. - Utilize PostgreSQL for database management and integration within services. - Create and manage containerized applications using Docker and orchestrate deployments using Kubernetes (K8S). - Work collaboratively with stakeholders to analyze requirements, propose solutions, and ensure alignment with business goals. - Develop comprehensive testing strategies, including unit and integration testing, to ensure reliable and secure applications. - Ensure code quality and maintainability by following best practices and conducting regular code reviews. Qualifications - 7+ years of experience in software development. - Strong Java and Spring Boot experience. - Strong software architecture understanding. - Experience with distributed systems / microservice architectures. - Good understanding of containerized environments (Docker/Kubernetes). - PostgreSQL or other relational database experience. - Experience designing scalable backend systems and APIs. - Ability to work across backend and infrastructure topics when needed. - Experience building SaaS/PaaS products. - Familiarity with AI/LLM-related technologies is a plus. - Experience with DevOps, cloud environments, CI/CD pipelines, or platform engineering is a strong advantage. • Develop, scale, and maintain platforms and services which sustain several Cisco services and data platforms, including the flagship Meraki Dashboard product. • Design, build, ship, analyze, and maintain scalable, distributed, enterprise software solutions that support the services which record and consume telemetry data. • Build and maintain backend components using C++ in a Linux environment. • Focus on increasing reliability, performance, scalability, testability, maintainability, observability, and developer experience. • Work with various groups within Cisco to understand their and our customers’ data requirements and requests.
