Job Description

Yield & Monetization Analyst – Contract

Character.AI

• Partner with various internal and external stakeholders to define and continuously refine audience and inventory segments, and translate those cohorts into actionable targeting and pricing strategy. • Own a weekly price-floor governance cadence: review geo-tiered Unified Pricing Rules against performance, propose and apply adjustments, and track the fill / eCPM impact of every change. • Stay in lockstep with broader company monetization initiatives aligning ad strategy, ad load, and segment treatment with LTV, conversion, and user-experience goals, and adjusting on the fly should cannibalization risk be identified. • Monitor daily and weekly revenue, investigate anomalies and discrepancies, and run structured A/B tests to validate floor and segment changes. • Build and maintain dashboards that tie segment performance, floor movements, and demand-source behavior to revenue, partnering with Data on instrumentation and attribution. • Support demand integrations (AdX / Open Bidding, Amazon TAM) in partnership with the monetization owner and Engineering, contributing the analytical lens. • Help translate findings into clear recommendations and briefings for Monetization, Data, and leadership stakeholders.

Job Requirements

  • 4+ years in yield management, ad operations, revenue / monetization analytics, or publisher monetization, with a strong analytical core.
  • Demonstrated experience with audience / inventory segmentation and cohort analysis, and comfort working closely with a data team; SQL and BI tooling (e.g. Looker, Tableau) a strong plus.
  • Hands-on Google Ad Manager fluency, especially Unified Pricing Rules and floor management, plus a solid grasp of the programmatic ecosystem (AdX / Open Bidding, header bidding, SSP / DSP / RTB).
  • Understanding of hybrid monetization — how ad-supported and subscription / paid models interact, and how to balance ad revenue against LTV and retention.
  • A disciplined, cadence-driven operator who can run a reliable weekly review and keep a clear audit trail of decisions.
  • Strong communication — able to make segment and floor analysis legible to both technical and business stakeholders, and to coordinate across functions.
  • Self-directed and outcome-oriented, comfortable owning a defined scope and delivering within a fixed term.

Benefits

  • 🩺 Top-notch health coverage for you & your family, with majority of the premium covered
  • 💰 We invest in your future with a generous 401(K) contribution
