Apprentice Product Designer

• Work alongside other Pinterest Product Designers and key partners on our Research, Product Management, and Engineering teams on a high-impact project • Learn about the design process, starting from ideation and exploration, all the way to executing and implementing with Engineering • Collaborate with an assigned mentor who will help you navigate the expectations associated with being a Product Designer at Pinterest • Leverage AI tools to optimize your workflow and to make cross-functional collaboration more productive and efficient • Continually grow through various learning and development opportunities

Job Requirements

  • Professionals from non-tech backgrounds, including but not limited to: design bootcamp grads, candidates who are self-taught, and those who do not hold a related degree or professional experience in Product Design roles
  • Self-motivated and proactive professionals pursuing a career in the tech industry who are curious to learn what it’s like to work and succeed as a Product Designer at Pinterest
  • Has a learner and builder mindset: Able to quickly onboard to emerging AI tools and implement them appropriately in the full product development process with a focus on decision quality, craft and efficiency
  • 1+ years of experience working collaboratively and clearly communicating in a professional work environment preferred
  • Apprentices are expected to work full-time during business hours. As such, students currently enrolled in a Bachelors, Masters, or PhD program are not eligible for this position
  • Practical experience using design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Photoshop or Illustrator.

Role Description The Principal, Brand Systems & Information Design is responsible for the visual structure, flow, and presentation quality of OnTrac’s most important marketing and commercial materials.
