Environmental Field Technician

• Collect samples of soil, groundwater, surface water and air as part of environmental investigations. • Prepare daily and weekly field reports, construction schedules, and progress reports. • Review field documentation for accuracy and consistency with company policy and procedures. • Interact with project personnel (contractors, project managers, engineers, and clients) and assist in cultivating an integrated team approach through open communication.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in geology, physical geography, environmental science, or a related field of study (preferred)
  • Experience operating industry-typical monitoring and data-collection technologies, including but not limited to laptop and handheld computers, photoionization detectors, landfill gas meters, GPS, YSI, and other equipment used in collecting environmental samples. (preferred but not essential)
  • Experience with multimedia sampling including soil, water, and air sampling. (preferred)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word software programs. (required)
  • Valid UK driving license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
