Payroll Specialist
Commvault
Commvault is looking for a Payroll Specialist to join our team! In this role you will be responsible for all aspects of Commvault’s America/Canada payroll processing utilizing ADP as the payroll provider and Workday as the HRIS system. Additionally, you will prepare journal entries, handle garnishments, reconcile payroll accounts, assist with the monthly financial close and more in a fast-paced Finance department. Process multi-state payroll utilizing a daily Workday integration file into ADP EV6 which includes but is not limited to: Accurate salary calculations and variable payments Ensure appropriate employee tax and payroll deductions Prepare and enter all payroll related journal entries Reconcile GL accounts at month end Manage Timesheet application and ensure hours accurately reported on payroll Manage payroll functions with patience; ability to adapt to constantly changing requirements of multiple countries Maintain relationship with Human Resources to ensure all payroll related information is accurate between Workday and ADP which includes required taxes, benefit programs and other deductions are handled in accordance with local laws and regulations for each country Communicate with all employees and upper management in support of payroll questions and reporting Communicate tax agency notices to ADP Tax Services Complete auditor’s quarterly requests Understand payroll related accounting to prepare required payroll journal entries and reconciliations Comply with Commvault’s company policies and controls (SOX) Accurate salary calculations and variable payments Ensure appropriate employee tax and payroll deductions Prepare and enter all payroll related journal entries Reconcile GL accounts at month end Manage Timesheet application and ensure hours accurately reported on payroll Manage payroll functions with patience; ability to adapt to constantly changing requirements of multiple countries Maintain relationship with Human Resources to ensure all payroll related information is accurate between Workday and ADP which includes required taxes, benefit programs and other deductions are handled in accordance with local laws and regulations for each country Communicate with all employees and upper management in support of payroll questions and reporting Communicate tax agency notices to ADP Tax Services Complete auditor’s quarterly requests Understand payroll related accounting to prepare required payroll journal entries and reconciliations Comply with Commvault’s company policies and controls (SOX)
Job Requirements
- 1-2 years’ experience processing multi-state payroll on ADP EV6 and ADP Workforce now for over 500 employees is a plus
- Experience using Workday, and ADP EV6 together a plus
- NetSuite experience a plus
- Proficient with computer systems, including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word
- Bachelors of Commerce with CA/CWA Inter completed will be a great fit for this role
