Senior Tax Manager

This role provides strategic and hands-on support for U.S. tax operations within a multinational context. You will work closely with in-house tax and finance teams, as well as external advisors, to manage audits, process improvements, and business change initiatives. The position offers exposure to complex federal and state tax matters, including IRS and state audits, sales tax optimization, and M&A-related tax considerations. You will analyze tax data, provide actionable insights, and present recommendations to senior leadership, while helping enhance tax administration and compliance processes. This is an ideal opportunity for a seasoned tax professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys influencing business decisions at a high level. Support U.S. federal and state tax audits, including reviewing IDRs, drafting responses, and liaising with external advisors. Advise on tax implications of business changes, including organic growth and mergers & acquisitions. Assist with sales tax process improvements, ensuring compliance and efficiency across jurisdictions. Collaborate with finance and tax teams to optimize tax administration and implement remediation initiatives. Conduct analytical reviews, summarize findings, and provide clear recommendations to senior leadership. Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and external advisors to facilitate smooth tax operations.

Job Requirements

  • Qualified U.S. tax advisor or CPA with extensive experience in multinational tax management.
  • 10+ years of experience delivering actionable tax insights, including direct IRS engagement.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly understand business operations and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Experience managing complex federal and state tax matters.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills with senior stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, remote environment and managing multiple priorities.
