Role Description As the Specialty Sales Manager, Footwear - North America, you will play a pivotal leadership role in shaping the future of Arc’teryx’s Footwear business in Specialty Wholesale across North America. You will be a strategic advisor and partner to a team of Territory Managers and Specialty Partners, guiding how our Footwear shows up in specialty retail environments in North America. Along with this team, you will execute on the Specialty Footwear strategy to ensure our product, storytelling, and service are aligned with the long-term strategic plan. Your influence will elevate the footwear category through category growth, distribution, and driving sell-through. Core Activities - Executing the strategy for Specialty Footwear in North America in alignment with the long-term strategic plan. - Identify, pursue, and build relationships with new Specialty Partners to add to our distribution network. - Develop programming and support a team of Territory Managers to drive profitable growth and meaningful partnerships for Specialty Footwear partners. - Partnering with trade marketing to create and execute on seasonal strategies to drive best-in-class partner experiences. - Collaborating with demand planning & allocations to create and execute on data-driven forecasting plans and assortments. - Travelling across North America to support go-to-market success and strengthen partner relationships (50% travel commitment). - Attending and supporting trade shows and industry events. Future Opportunities - Developing and extending Project Beta into Snow & Climb. - Building a footwear sales team to drive growth in the footwear category. - Working with the Commercial team to discover new business opportunities and scale best practices. - Deepening channel knowledge to support brand expansion and community engagement. Qualifications - 7+ years of related experience in best-in-class strategic account management, ideally in the footwear space. - Excellent people leader, capable of motivating and engaging a group of people. - Experience in all forms of distribution including owned retail development and growth, partnership branded retail, and wholesale development. - Passion for best-in-class service and delivering an exceptional experience for guests. - Strong communicator in both written and verbal communication. - Excellent interpersonal skills and comfortable dealing with diverse personalities. - Strong advisor with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at a global level. - Excellent organizational skills, analytical ability, and a track record of strategic planning. - Excellent decision-making skills and proactive in identifying the root cause of issues. - Highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity. - Effectively balance autonomy and collaboration. - Seek the best solutions with unwavering commitment. - Passion for work paralleled by a passion for getting outside and living it. - Able and willing to travel up to 50%, with flexibility to work weekends or holidays. Compensation The salary range for this role is USD$107,000 - USD$141,000. Individual pay is determined by your skills, experience, and level of responsibility. This role suits a hands-on operations professional who's equally comfortable managing hospitality standards and marine logistics in a remote, adventure-tourism setting. You'll oversee everything from camp setups and staff leadership to fleet maintenance and river safety, reporting directly to the Country Manager.
