Your Opportunity at ARC’TERYX: As the Senior Manager, Asset Protection - Canada, you will play a critical role within the North America Retail team by supporting our employees and business operations in all aspects of risk and loss mitigation. In this role, you will lead the execution of Asset Protection best practices, policies, and programs within your assigned coverage area. You will work closely with retail store, field, and corporate leaders to identify opportunities, align on priorities, and establish consistent ways of working to achieve our collective goals. You will manage and maintain the physical security, shrink mitigation, and case management programs in support of the broader regional and global strategy. Additionally, you will serve as the primary point of contact all physical risk incidents and emergencies within your assigned area and support teams through the crisis response framework. This role can be hired remote. Business operations occur on PST time zone. Meet Your Future Team: The Asset Protection and Resilience team is responsible for the mitigation of risk and reduction of losses across the entire business. This team operates across Retail, eCommerce, Corporate Offices, and Supply Chain to ensure the safety and security of all Arc’teryx assets. The Asset Protection and Resilience team is tasked with continually improving the consumer and employee experience while mitigating risks through the implementation of tools, policies, and awareness. This team works closely with every function of the broader organization to achieve this mission. If you were in the Senior Manager, Asset Protection – Canada role now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing: - Driving the broader regional and global Asset Protection strategic initiatives within your market. - Collaborating with retail and cross functional partners to drive risk and loss reduction activities and programs. - Identifying and supporting areas of risk opportunity at the store, market, and regional level. - Conducting regular store visits as part of the shrink mitigation program, new store openings, high risk store support strategy, and other market support needs as identified with your retail partners. - Managing and maintaining incident reports, investigations, and other requirements in the Arc’teryx case management system. Are you our next Senior Manager, Asset Protection – Canada? - You have 8+ years of Asset Protection, Enterprise Resilience, or Corporate Security experience, preferably in the retail industry - You have advanced learning and development, such as a post-secondary degree in Criminal Justice, Occupational Safety, Security, or a similar business-related field - You have spent time in a government agency or military branch will be considered as a substitute in consideration of other qualifications - You have advanced certifications such as CFI, LPC, CLCP or other similar credentials - You have direct experience in shrink reduction programs, physical security solutions, and emergency response protocols - You have experience effectively communicating data in a way that enables strategic decision-making - You have excellent verbal and written communication skills - You are a strong advisor with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at a global level - You have exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills and proven experience building high-performing teams - You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions - You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity - You effectively balance autonomy and collaboration - You inspire breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement - You seek the best (not always the easiest) solutions, with an unwavering commitment to do what is right - Your passion for your work is paralleled by your passion for getting outside and living it Candidates must have the ability to travel up to 50% of their working time. Compensation:The salary range for this role is CAD$125,000 - CAD$164,000. This range reflects market alignment and the scope of the role. Individual pay is determined by your skills, experience, and level of responsibility. Role Description As the Senior Manager, Platform Engineering at Arc'teryx, you will be leading and managing multiple teams of Platform engineers in the design, development, maintenance and support of our platforms and systems. In this role, you will use your advanced technical skills and expertise in platform engineering to guide the teams and ensure that work is completed efficiently and meets our high standards. You will also play a key role in the technology strategy across the platform systems that enable our exceptional e-commerce guest experience via web, mobile and POS systems. Qualifications - 10+ years relevant experience with full stack development in an Agile/Scrum environment managing teams of 10 or more engineers. - Deep knowledge of observability and software operations including metrics, SLO/SLA, RCA and operational effectiveness. - Programming language polyglot, excelling in 2 professional languages. - Extensive knowledge of C++, C#, Java, or Golang coding and best practices. - Extensive experience with NoSQL databases at scale. - Extensive experience with Event systems like Kafka/RabbitMQ/EventBridge. - Extensive experience working in a Cloud first design environment with AWS, Azure or GCP. - Extensive experience in designing, building, deploying, debugging and supporting distributed systems in the cloud. - Understanding of caching, security, compute, I/O and storage in a cloud environment. - Proficient in designing, writing and maintaining automated user tests and unit tests. - Advocate for a schema-first approach, i.e. defining the API schema first before writing any code or implementing the APIs. - Experience building APIs, OAuth 2.0, headless solutions. - Experience working with cloud computing infrastructure, container solutions, and CI/CD pipelines. - Deep knowledge of Micro Services concepts and architecture. - Experience with caching, web Servers, load balancers configuration and management. - Deep knowledge of Event Driven Architecture and Domain Driven Design principles. - Great communication, problem solving, and documentation skills. - Self-starter who can work with minimal supervision and takes the initiative. - Proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions. - Highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity. - Passion for work and outdoor activities. Requirements - $125,000 - $172,000 a year. - Individual pay is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education and/or training. - The upper end of the range is typically reserved for candidates with demonstrated expertise that is above job requirements or who bring exceptional directly transferable experience. - The range details reflect the base pay only and does not include our competitive bonus program and benefits that we offer.
