This is a fully remote position with flexible working hours. However, the ideal candidate should be able to adjust their schedule to German business hours to accommodate occasional calls and meetings. Qualifications - Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. - Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Outlook for email and calendar management. - Excellent documentation and file management skills with a solid understanding of best practices for digital document storage and organization in OneDrive/SharePoint. - Proficient in using tools like Gemini and GPT to improve productivity and efficiency. - Fluent in German (required). - Proven ability to handle confidential information with the utmost discretion and integrity. Role Description Local Progress Impact Lab is seeking an externally-funded Legal Fellow for the 2027–2028 cycle. Working as part of a national Legal & Policy team, the Legal Fellow will support growth of legal and policy resources for members on a broad array of issues, including: - Climate justice - Affordability - Local government revenue generation - Opposing surveillance technology and data centers The Legal Fellow will also provide research support to elected officials in various geographies, including CA, CO, MI, MN, NC, NY, PA, and TX.
