Role Description - Will eventually oversee a team of Internship Coordinators in developing internship processes, procedures and new programs. - Interviews prospective interns and determines the best department for them to work in. - Develops learning objectives and goals with each intern. - Manage intern performance and evaluations while ensuring compliance with all university academic requirements. - Reply to emails from interns' webmail box. - Acts as a liaison between the interns and the different ARO departments they are working in. - Act as a resource for interns to answer any questions they have throughout their internship. - Collaborate with leadership, including the Global Executive Director, to ensure program compliance. - Identifies intern training needs. - Provides administrative support. - Performs other duties as required. - Attend ARO Company Meeting the second Tuesday of each month at 12:30pm EST. - Lead 1:1 meetings with interns during initial training and meetings as needed thereafter to include the possibility of team meetings. Role Description Provides administrative and operational support to the Editorial Manager (EM) and Editorial team. - Coordinate with Editorial Manager on communications to team. - Assists with assigning and tracking tasks for Journalists and Content Proofreaders. - Reviews and proofreads publications and correspondence for accuracy, grammar, formatting, and adherence to style guidelines. - Use Google Drive, Asana, and Slack to prepare, organize, and maintain editorial materials and records. - Assists with reviewing and generating graphics in Canva for publication materials. - Ensures publications and projects meet quality standards, specifications, and production deadlines. - Reviews drafts before being assigned to Editorial Manager for review. - Coordinate with other department leadership as requested by EM. - Other duties as assigned by EM. For more about our hiring practices, please refer to: Human Resources – Abuse Refuge Org Job Description Responsibilities And What You Will Do: - Provide leadership, support, advocacy, and vision to onboarding and offboarding coordinators and support staff - Work in collaboration with the On & Offboarding Manager and HR Talent Acquisition leadership team - Oversee a team working in Onboarding and Offboarding - Develop new strategies and programs to streamline the onboarding and offboarding process - Ensure all necessary documentation is recorded for new volunteers and tasks among team members are completed on time. - Work with the offboarding team to remove inactive volunteers from all platforms - Communicate with managers in other departments about new team members. - Oversee the daily workflow of the department. - Work closely with the HR Department to share best practices, provide assistance on critical needs, and coordinate global-level initiatives. - Attend monthly team meeting on the second Tuesday of each month at 12:30pm EST. - Provide constructive and timely performance feedback. - Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Here’s what we’re looking for: - Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field a plus. - SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential preferred. - Understanding of applicable policies and federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations (a plus). - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills. - Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. - Strong supervisory and leadership skills. - Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate. - Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment. - Must be available to volunteer 10-15 hours a week. - Based in the USA and able to work set hours (neg).
