Role Description We are sharing a specialised remote consulting opportunity for experienced Level 3, Tier 3, principal, or senior network support engineers based in the United States or Canada with expertise in enterprise infrastructure troubleshooting, packet analysis, final escalations, root cause analysis, incident response, and network operations. This role supports current and upcoming remote consulting opportunities focused on autonomous networking systems, production infrastructure data annotation, network behavior classification, anomaly review, incident-pattern labeling, and structured data pipeline development for AI-assisted infrastructure workflows. Selected professionals will review real-world networking data, label and classify operational patterns, and help structure network datasets based on hands-on enterprise networking and escalation experience. Key Responsibilities - Network Data Review & Annotation - Review real-world data from deployed network environments, including logs, configurations, telemetry, alerts, event streams, and operational records. - Label and classify network behaviors, issues, anomalies, incident patterns, outage indicators, and troubleshooting signals. - Translate hands-on network support experience into structured annotations, classification logic, and review-ready data outputs. - Support work involving enterprise switches, access points, firewalls, wireless infrastructure, network telemetry, incident records, and production network behavior depending on project needs. - Incident Analysis & RCA Workflow Support - Apply Level 3, Tier 3, principal support, or final-escalation experience to interpret complex network issues and operational patterns. - Review troubleshooting evidence for signs of misconfiguration, degraded performance, connectivity failures, packet-level issues, infrastructure instability, or recurring incident themes. - Use root cause analysis experience to help identify how network problems should be categorized, structured, and explained. - Evaluate incident and support data for clarity, completeness, technical accuracy, and usefulness for downstream analysis. - Data Pipeline Structure & AI Training Support - Help define schemas, labels, categories, and structured outputs for large-scale networking data pipelines. - Support the transformation of raw infrastructure data into organized inputs for AI-assisted network reasoning systems. - Identify useful patterns in logs, telemetry, configuration files, and incident records that may support autonomous networking workflows. - Contribute practical networking judgment to improve how intelligent systems interpret real-world infrastructure data. - Structured Feedback & Quality Control - Provide clear written feedback explaining network behaviors, classification decisions, incident patterns, and troubleshooting reasoning. - Follow detailed annotation guidelines, task instructions, quality criteria, and project-specific standards accurately. - Review discrete network data deliverables and identify areas for improvement. - Collaborate directly with project teams through remote workflows to improve data quality, annotation consistency, and infrastructure-focused AI outputs. Qualifications - Current or recent experience as a Level 3, Tier 3, principal support, senior network support, network operations, or escalation engineer. - Hands-on experience keeping enterprise infrastructure online and stable through on-call rotations, outage response, RCAs, final escalations, and complex troubleshooting. - Practical experience with end-customer enterprise networks across environments such as retail, healthcare, financial services, manufacturing, universities, hospitality, or similar sectors. - Strong working knowledge of switches, access points, firewalls, network telemetry, packet analysis, configuration review, and troubleshooting workflows. - Ability to identify and explain network behaviors, anomalies, incident patterns, root causes, and operational signals clearly. - Interest in how raw infrastructure data is structured and used as input for machine learning or AI-assisted systems. - Strong attention to detail and ability to classify technical data accurately and consistently. - Excellent written communication skills. - Ability to work independently in a remote, project-based environment. - Current location in the United States or Canada.
