Senior Associate, Business Development – Marketing
CECP
• Identify, prioritize, and build a pipeline of prospective member companies aligned with CECP’s strategic growth goals, utilizing tools like ZoomInfo and other to qualify leads • Develop tailored pitches that clearly articulate CECP’s value (benchmarking, advisory, convening, peer connection) • Conduct targeted outreach (email, LinkedIn, referrals, events) to executives and corporate social impact leaders • Maintain and manage a robust CRM pipeline, tracking engagement stages, conversion rates, and key insights • Schedule calls and meetings with prospective companies and CECP leadership, supporting prep and follow up • Analyze market trends, industry gaps, and competitor offerings to identify new recruitment opportunities • Segment target companies by industry, size, and maturity to refine outreach strategies and messaging • Contribute to pricing and membership model evolution by capturing market feedback and objections • Leverage existing member network to drive referrals and peer-to-peer recruitment opportunities • Customize proposals and membership packages based on company priorities and budget considerations • Address objections and articulate differentiation versus other networks or advisory providers • Ensure smooth handoff to engagement/relationship management teams for onboarding • Work closely with Strategic Engagement, Marketing, and Research teams to align messaging, materials, and outreach campaigns and support development recruitment collateral (one-pagers, case studies, digital campaigns) • Share real-time market intelligence and insights to inform CECP content, benchmarking, and product development • Track and report on recruitment KPIs (pipeline size, conversion rates, revenue targets, time-to-close) • Analyze wins/losses to refine strategy and improve future recruitment efforts • Provide regular updates to leadership on pipeline health, risks, and growth opportunities • Continuously test and optimize outreach strategies (messaging, channels, cadence)
Job Requirements
- 3-5 years’ professional experience, ideally with direct experience in business development and sales/marketing
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Strong organizational, time management, and project planning skills; keen attention to detail
- Interest in businesses’ role in society, CSR, and creating a better world through business.
- Excellent research, writing, editing, and oral communication skills; commitment to customer service and comfort in speaking with corporate leaders and executives;
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other basic computer programs; experience with Salesforce, a plus.
- Roll-up-your-sleeves, solutions-oriented, entrepreneurial attitude to work with high-performing team.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and projects seamlessly
