The Data Governance Standards, Policies & Training Expert plays a pivotal role in establishing and maintaining a robust data governance framework. This individual will be responsible for the development and communication of data standards and policies, as well as the creation of training programs to foster a data-literate culture across the organization. Working closely with peers within Global Data Governance team, and various business and MDS stakeholders, this role ensures the consistent application of data governance principles to improve data quality, compliance, and strategic decision-making. How you will contribute Key Responsibilities - Collaborate with business and MDS teams to develop, document, and maintain enterprise-wide and specific data governance standards. Support in drafting, reviewing, and updating data governance policies - Facilitate workshops and discussions to gather requirements and validate proposed data governance standards - Regularly review and update existing data standards to reflect evolving business needs and regulatory requirements. - Ensure policies align with internal guidelines, industry best practices, and relevant legal and regulatory frameworks (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, industry-specific regulations). - Develop clear, concise policy documentation and support their dissemination and understanding across the organization. - Design and develop comprehensive data governance training programs and materials for various audiences, from introductory awareness to specialized role-based training. - Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and adjust content as needed to maximize impact. - Serve as a subject matter expert on data governance standards and policies, providing guidance and support to business units and project teams. Assist in responding to inquiries related to data standards, policies, and best practices. - Act as an ambassador for Gata Governance, fostering a culture of data ownership and accountability. - Work effectively with cross-functional teams including Data&Analytics, Architecture, Internal Controls and various operational global and regional units. What you will bring - 3-5 years of experience in data governance, data management, business analysis, or a related role within a complex organizational environment. - Proven experience in developing and documenting data standards, policies, or procedures. - Demonstrated experience in creating and promoting training programs or instructional materials. - Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a attention to detail. - Ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at various levels. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Being self-motivated, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. Demonstrated ability to collaborate globally, to work in a team environment yet independently productive - Understanding and experience of data tools usage (Data Catalog, Cloud Solutions, Data Quality such as Collibra, Ataccama, Informatica, Alation, among others) and in Master Data Domains and MDM solutions is a plus - DAMA certifications and SAP S/4 knowledge a plus - Experience of managing relations with content creation agencies is a plus Slovakia: We pride ourselves on having a high performing and collaborative culture where we support your career and development.
