Job Description

Distribution Account Manager

MarketStar

• Drive inventory optimization with distribution — stocking levels, sell-through visibility, aging/excess management, and demand alignment so the right product is in the right place without tying up working capital. • Run point on deal desk operations: deal registration, quoting accuracy and turnaround, pricing approvals, and the workflows that connect sales teams, distribution and resellers. • Remove friction and shorten cycle times. • Continuously audit how inventory, registration, and quoting actually work in practice — then redesign the steps that slow things down or create errors. • Treat every recurring problem as a process to fix, not a fire to fight. • Build a genuinely mutually beneficial relationship with distribution — joint planning, shared goals, and a clear value exchange that makes this vendor a priority line in their portfolio. • Carry direct ownership of key distribution performance metrics and report against them with a high-level business lens.

Job Requirements

  • A strong bias for action and a genuine sense of urgency; you push things forward rather than wait for them
  • Distribution or two-tier channel experience (inventory, deal desk, quoting, registration)
  • The ability to zoom out to the business picture while still executing the operational details
  • Relationship-building instincts and the discipline to be accountable for hard numbers
  • Comfort balancing operational, administrative, and strategic work in the same week without dropping any of them
  • Strong communication , concise updates for internal and external stakeholders with actionable follow-through comes naturally in your work style.

Benefits

  • Structured learning and career development programs
  • Mental health program
  • Generous Paid Time Off policy
  • Paid medical leave
  • Child/Dependent care reimbursement
  • Education reimbursement
  • 401k match, hardship loan program, access to financial wellness advisor
  • Comprehensive healthcare coverage including medical, dental, and vision
