Medical Account Specialist II – Hematology

• Engage Hematologists and other key Oncology customers and deliver clinically focused selling messages to support our Multiple Myeloma bispecific antibody, to grow brand share and revenue and to deliver product goals • Facilitate partnership with multiple collaboration partners; Regional Director, Nurse Educator, Key Account Manager, Territory-based Oncology Account Specialists, and Reimbursement Specialists to proactively resolve customer needs, identify market dynamics and trends, and develop strategies which support brand and corporate objectives in assigned territory • Develop strong working relationships with aligned designated accounts and specialists • Execute market profiling activities to ensure a deep understanding of regional and local health care delivery, influencers and payer systems • Proactively identify business opportunities with assigned accounts and leads appropriate coordination of effort by the Regeneron Oncology account team, e.g. supports contracting pull-through with accounts • Develop a breadth of relationships within each account to ensure an understanding of each account’s objectives, goals, and challenges and identifies approved Regeneron Oncology resources that are aligned to the customer’s needs • Demonstrates dedication to compliance through understanding regulations and policies that govern customer interactions and consistent focus on ensuring compliance with them.
Job Requirements
- A Bachelors degree; Master’s degree or additional advanced education/certifications a plus
- a minimum of 5 years successful experience in Oncology sales, Hematology Oncology preferred
- Buy and bill experience with biologics required
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working with key thought leaders or high influence customers in group practices, academic hospitals, key institutions
- Current account management experience in calling on large Oncology group practices and/or integrated delivery networks
- strong understanding of the Hematology Oncology therapeutic area and the current Oncology marketplace
- ability to collaborate with and coordinate activity among individuals in different reporting structures within the organization
- passion and a learning aptitude for science and is proactive in strengthening knowledge related to disease-state, treatment options and healthcare trends
- ability to travel and cover large geography territories.

• Responsible for a specific geographic territory and the successful promotion and growth of Neurocrine products. • Manages and develops long-term relationships with physicians and other customers for targeted accounts in their assigned territory and represent Neurocrine brand(s) and their approved indications. • Drives product acceptance and growth through targeted education and strategic account management. • Executes territory sales strategies to meet or exceed objectives via in-person and virtual communications. • Identifies and addresses territory-specific opportunities and barriers to product success. • Builds and maintains relationships with key stakeholders including healthcare providers, clinical staff, key opinion leaders, advocacy groups, community mental health clinics, long term care facilities, local/regional payers, and pharmacies.
• Maximizing opportunities for the product portfolio in single layer geography • Develop and maintain strategic business relationships with a wide spectrum of customers including Hospitals, IDN’s, Academic Institutions, Outpatient Accounts, Long Term Care Facilities, Government Accounts, and Specialty Private Practice • Increase patient access to portfolio products, developing new business, expanding current business • Deliver on-label presentations/sales calls to appropriately highlight the benefits and risks of the product portfolio • Develop professional relationships to further the use of the product portfolio • Ability to coordinate and mobilize key stakeholders across multiple departments • Create, develop, execute, and monitor strategic geography business plans • Attend and actively participate in local boards, societies, conventions, and other HCP meetings
• Promote a product to meet/exceed sales goals in community/private practices as well as hospitals/health systems • Comply with all company policies, required reports, requests and promotional compliance and effectively manages AbbVie field assets • Identify/uncover customer needs (training, clinical, operational, reimbursement) and address with appropriate AbbVie resources • Expert delivery of anatomical/procedural information and training, including the appropriate use of anatomical terminology to train injection paradigms/postures • Provide education and clinical/injection training for residents, fellows, and other key hospital personnel • Collaborate with other Account Specialist to promote the product for approved indications and execute individual, department, or group resident/fellow trainings within hospital/health system accounts • Effectively utilize AbbVie's sales and data resources to enhance productivity and growth of AbbVie products while implementing U.S. Marketing Plan
