Job Description

Lead Developer, C# – .NET

Hypoport SE

• Hands-on development and architecture work within the team (C#/.NET) • Active participation as a developer in the sprint, including independently implementing features and bug fixes • Taking on more complex technical tasks and solving architectural challenges in day-to-day team work • Contributing to architectural decisions within the team, e.g., regarding modularization, interfaces and security • Active involvement in the further development of our core systems (C#/.NET, MS SQL) toward resilient, containerized services in a Kubernetes cluster • Considering non-functional requirements such as observability, performance, scalability, security and deployment • Providing technical support in refinement, including clearly explaining complex technical issues to Product Managers • CI/CD, code reviews & clean code • Actively contributing to the expansion and optimization of CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Azure DevOps) and to the establishment of clean code practices, code reviews and automated tests (unit & system tests) with a clear shift-left mindset • Contributing to shorter development cycles and more reliable deployments within the team • Promoting shared knowledge rather than siloed expertise: you ensure that knowledge is accessible across the team, documented and not tied to individuals • Contributing to structured, clear and up-to-date process and system documentation • Developing practical best-practice guidelines and technical standards with a focus on quality and efficiency • Providing technical mentorship and coaching to developers in the areas of architecture, clean code and systems thinking, without disciplinary responsibility • Supporting the onboarding of new team members through technical input and knowledge transfer • Encouraging continuous learning and constructive professional exchange within the team • Close coordination with the Engineering Manager on technical questions and the team’s technical direction

Job Requirements

  • Experience with C#/.NET and backend development
  • Several years of experience with web applications in C#/.NET
  • Confident handling of scalable database systems (MS SQL, PostgreSQL) and modern backend architectures (modular services)

  • High quality standards without a quick-fix mentality, combined with pragmatism and a holistic product understanding
  • Experience with AI/LLM development
  • Experience integrating new technologies and digital solutions
  • Solid understanding of the possibilities and limitations of AI in a corporate context
  • Experience with AI/LLM-assisted development and ideally with integrating AI-based features
  • Practical experience with Docker/Kubernetes, fully automated deployments and Infrastructure as Code
  • Solid knowledge in designing, scaling and orchestrating services
  • Routine working with GitHub, Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, ArgoCD) and automated tests (unit & system tests)
  • Enjoyment in sharing your professional knowledge and helping other developers grow
  • Ability to explain complex technical topics in an understandable way, including to non-technical stakeholders
  • Interest in understanding the business and actively participating in discovery processes with Product Managers and stakeholders
