Role Description This is not a traditional product engineering role. It is a deeply business-embedded engineering position at the intersection of Finance, Engineering, and Operations. The hire will build the systems and instrumentation that make unit economics visible, trustworthy, and actionable - working in close partnership with Finance, Operations, and Engineering leadership rather than from a standard product roadmap. Ideal for a Rails engineer who wants to apply strong technical skills to real operational problems and who is motivated by business impact, not just feature delivery. Responsibilities - Own full-stack delivery from UI to backend services, including database tuning and performance. - Build new features start to finish - architecture design, coding, automated testing, and production support. - Work closely with teammates in a fast-paced, agile environment across pods and the broader Engineering org. - Tackle technical issues throughout the stack and contribute to shared documentation. - Contribute to coding standards, tech debt refinement, and system security monitoring. - Participate in interviewing and onboarding new team members. - Participate in on-call support rotation (team-based, paired). Qualifications - Strong experience with Ruby on Rails. - System design experience focused on incremental, scalable, resilient architecture. - Comfortable across the stack - backend services, databases, and light frontend. - Experience with modern frontend frameworks (React, Vue.js). - SQL database experience (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQLite). - Deployment experience on Heroku, AWS, or similar. - 5+ years of hands-on development experience. - Comfort with financial concepts: margins, COGS, pricing, revenue recognition, or unit economics. - Experience building systems where correctness, auditability, and explainability matter. - Ability to work with non-technical stakeholders and translate ambiguous business questions into concrete technical work. - Comfortable with ambiguity - shaping the problem, not just executing against a spec. Bonus - Deep Ruby on Rails and RSpec expertise. - Postgres database administration experience. - Shipped code supporting tens of thousands of users including enterprise customers. - Operations/SRE experience including networking, caching, database, and performance triage. - Experience in fundraising, crowdfunding, fintech, or payments products. - Startup environment experience. - Experience building internal tools for Finance or Operations teams.

• Lead the analysis and definition of complex business and system requirements for cross‑functional initiatives, integrations, and enhancements impacting Premium Accounting • Translate business needs into comprehensive functional designs, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and data requirements that support scalable and sustainable solutions • Own requirements and functional design artifacts throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), ensuring traceability, clarity, and alignment from discovery through implementation and stabilization • Serve as a trusted advisor to business and technology partners on system capabilities, constraints, trade‑offs, and solution options • Analyze system performance, data flows, and operational workflows to identify root causes, risks, and opportunities for automation, standardization, and efficiency improvement • Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) strategy and execution for complex initiatives, including test planning, coordination, defect triage, and validation of outcomes • Leverage artificial intelligence tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot and approved GenAI platforms) to enhance analysis, accelerate documentation, support testing, identify patterns, and surface insights • Evaluate emerging technologies, tools, and system capabilities relevant to business systems analysis, providing informed recommendations aligned to business objectives • Establish and promote best practices for business systems analysis, documentation, and testing within the team or functional area • Mentor and provide informal guidance to Business Systems Analysts and Senior Analysts through review of work products and knowledge sharing • Develop and maintain high‑quality documentation, training materials, and knowledge resources to support adoption, operational readiness, and ongoing support

• Manage and maintain hardware asset records for enterprise asset classes including end-user computing devices, mobile devices, peripherals, network equipment, and data center hardware. • Track hardware assets throughout the lifecycle, including request, procurement, receiving, deployment, transfer, refresh, return, and disposal. • Partner with procurement, sourcing, and vendor management teams to support purchasing, lease tracking, renewals, and hardware standards of governance. • Maintain accurate asset, stockroom, inventory, and ownership records within ServiceNow. • Utilize ServiceNow HAM to manage hardware lifecycle activities, including asset intake, inventory management, refresh planning, reclamation, and disposal workflows. • Support hardware asset reclamation activities by coordinating with end users and internal teams to facilitate the return of unused hardware assets during device refresh cycles and employee separations and enable redeployment or proper disposition. • Analyze hardware inventory, asset utilization, and lifecycle data to identify control gaps, process inefficiencies, and cost optimization opportunities. • Support physical inventory audits, reconciliation activities, and exception management for missing, retired, or redeployed assets. • Review and interpret vendor agreements, maintenance terms, lease schedules, and warranty information related to hardware assets. • Support configuration, maintenance, and continuous improvement of ITAM and HAM processes within ServiceNow. • Collaborate with stakeholders to document current-state and future-state business processes related to hardware asset lifecycle management. • Identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements aligned with HAM, ITAM, and operational best practices. • Support CMDB, asset management, and ITSM data quality initiatives to improve asset accuracy and service visibility. • Develop reporting, dashboards, and KPIs related to hardware inventory, asset age, refresh cycles, recovery, and cost optimization. • Participate in cross-functional initiatives involving ITAM, HAM, procurement, finance, operations, and end-user support teams.
