The annual pay range for this position is $159,744.00 - $193,200.00/year. How You Will Contribute: - Oversee development stages (planning, grooming, refinement, review and testing, sprint/iteration). - Anticipate Client Needs (expert with extensive market knowledge and communication skills). - Primary Liaison between stakeholders and development. - Inspect and evaluate Product Progress. - Capture feedback from the general SE community to include in the prioritization and definition of features/User Stories. - Understand the partner requirements as they apply to QuotePlus and maximize incremental partner revenue through use of the QuotePlus tool. - Work closely with the Product Owners for adjacent tools/areas such as PlannerPlus, Navigator, Bid App, Salesforce, and Services to ensure coordination of efforts and overall integration into the SE Workflow. - Work with product PLM to understand the evolution of Ciena products and how they will be incorporated into the SE workflow. - Generate the Stories needed for the Quote App and Config App. - Provide answers to SEs for technical queries and tracking of bug fixes as related to SE issues. - Work with SE Leaders to understand and develop the metrics required to create dashboards that display the effort and effectiveness of SEs as derived from information in tools like QuotePlus. - Support training activities at the launch of major functionality and occasional webinars for Roadmap or evolution presentations. - Implement performance measurement of SE’s overall satisfaction and operational metrics, document team processes, work results. - Ensure that both short-term incremental improvements as well as overall long-term strategy are understood and communicated to both the IT Dev team as well as the global Sales Engineering team. May telecommute from anywhere in the United States. Travel required. Qualifications - Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications Technology or related field. - Five years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or in a software developer-related occupation. Requirements - 60 months of experience in the following: - Key networking technologies such as Optical, OTN, Ethernet, MPLS-TP, IP, SDN or NFV and applications such as Mobility, Data Center Networking, IP/Optical architectures, Ethernet services, Automation and Virtualization, or OSS. - Sales cycle and stage requirements. - Senior/director level engagements with a range of functions within a given organization: Commercial, Engineering, Product Management, Services/Support, Training, or HR. - Software development and the use of Agile CICD Development Process and proficiency in working with Atlassian Jira ticketing system.
