We’re looking for a technically confident, commercially minded Head of Solutions Engineering to lead and build our Solutions Engineering function. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can operate credibly with senior engineering and talent stakeholders, support complex enterprise sales conversations, and help customers implement and adopt Codility effectively. This is not a pure people-management role, and it is not a purely transactional pre-sales role. You will be expected to: - Personally engage with strategic customers - Lead technical discovery - Support demos and technical validation - Shape implementation plans - Drive successful adoption - Coach a small but growing team of Solutions Engineers You will help define what excellent Solutions Engineering looks like at Codility, while staying close enough to customers and the product to lead from the front. Qualifications - Genuine technical literacy - able to read a code snippet and understand APIs - Proven experience in Solutions Engineering or related customer-facing technical role within B2B SaaS - Experience leading, managing, or mentoring Solutions Engineers or customer-facing technical teams - Comfortable acting as a player-coach: setting standards and coaching others - Proven experience working with enterprise customers with complex, global stakeholder structures - Able to lead technical discovery and recommend practical solutions - Solutions-oriented with proactive problem-solving skills - Comfortable supporting both pre-sales and post-sales customer conversations - Hands-on experience with REST APIs, scripting, automation, integrations, or technical troubleshooting is a plus - Some exposure to assessment design, technical hiring, or IO psychology is a plus - AI-native, fluent with LLMs and copilots Requirements - Lead and develop Codility’s Solutions Engineering function - Act as a hands-on technical leader for strategic enterprise accounts - Support complex technical sales conversations - Coach and support Solutions Engineers in effective discovery and demos - Co-design and configure technical assessments with customers - Lead technical workshops and enablement sessions - Review platform usage and customer data to identify risks and opportunities for improvement - Help customers understand assessment effectiveness and guide them toward scalable use of the platform - Partner closely with Sales, Account Management, and Customer Success on renewal strategy - Build strong internal feedback loops to inform product and customer experience decisions - Stay informed on how AI is changing software engineering and technical assessment Benefits - Opportunity to lead a growing team - Engage with strategic enterprise customers - Work in an AI-native organization - Contribute to redefining technical hiring processes Company Description Ready to help engineering organisations build smarter, more technically rigorous hiring processes?
