Role Description We are currently seeking a Remote PRN Shift Mental Health Clinician/Professional to join our team at our facilities located in Georgia. The counties that this remote position will cover are: - North Region - Fayette, Floyd, Burke - Southeast Region - Bryan, Liberty, McIntosh, Tattnall - South Region - Bacon, Ben Hill, Coffee, Telfair, Turner - Southwest Region - Grady, Mitchell, Thomas, Cook, Effingham This position is a mental health position that will be evaluating and providing mental health services to the inmate population. Responsibilities include: - Diffusing situations and reporting information appropriately to other GENESYS Health Alliance providers, staff members, corporate staff, or facility administration. - Maintaining professional knowledge of GENESYS Health Alliance policy and procedures. - Setting an example for other staff members in behavior, attitude, and skills. Qualifications - Master’s Degree in a Mental Health related discipline - Licensure in South Carolina as a LCSW, LMHC, LMSW, or LPC - Four (4) years of experience directing or supervising therapeutic staff and/or related experience preferred but not required - Active BLS Healthcare Provider/CPR Certification from the American Health Association or the American Red Cross Requirements - Job Type: Full Time - Correctional experience preferred, but not required - Ability to obtain a security clearance, including drug screen and criminal background check - Available shift: PRN Shifts - Facility Hours Vary (Day Shift) General Duties - One year of Mental Health experience preferred - Excellent problem-solving skills with strong organizational abilities - Knowledge in a range of counseling and therapeutic techniques - Ability to manage multiple issues or deadlines in stressful situations with tact and professionalism - Excellent communication skills; ability to concisely communicate situations or needs effectively with sites and GENESYS Health Alliance Corporate Managers - Provides necessary counseling as required for the patient - Assesses the patient’s psychosocial needs and evaluates the progress with the supervisor - Collaborates with all disciplines to plan and evaluate team goals for each patient - Focuses on assisting patients through the discharge process of both in and out patient treatment facilities as applicable - Utilizes a variety of therapy techniques and treatment plans - Facilitates patient progress and referrals - Adheres to Company policies and procedures when providing services to patients - Observes, documents, and reports patient progress - Performs other duties as assigned/necessary Benefits - Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance plan options - Supplemental plans - Life, Cancer, Accident, and Short Term Disability plans - 401(k) matching (after 1 year) - Paid holidays - PTO - Vacation, sick, and bereavement - Supplemental pay types: Sign on bonus - Applies only to Full Time Employees Company Description GENESYS Health Alliance proudly manages our facilities with quality healthcare initiatives and strives to be the innovative and reliable leader in the correctional setting.
