Job Description

Principal Technical Consultant, New Therapies, Market Development

Medtronic

• Provide expert clinical and technical support to surgeons, nurses, and Operating Room staff during complex surgical procedures. • Ensure the safe, effective, and optimal use of Medtronic technologies in live case environments. • Act as the first point of contact for technical and clinical troubleshooting before, during, and after procedures. • Resolve equipment and product-related issues quickly and effectively to minimize disruption to patient care. • Maintain a high level of product expertise across the relevant surgical portfolio, including device functionality, clinical evidence, and recommended settings. • Support customers in understanding best practices for product use and procedural efficiency. • Identify barriers to therapy adoption within hospitals and develop strategies to support successful implementation and broader clinical use. • Analyze local market dynamics, account potential, and clinical trends to identify untapped growth opportunities. • Support the development of new accounts and contribute to building referral pathways within the territory. • Partner closely with sales and marketing teams to align clinical activities with regional commercial priorities and launch strategies. • Conduct workshops, in-service sessions, product demonstrations, and hands-on simulation training.

Job Requirements

  • University degree in Biomedical Engineering, Nursing, Medicine, Biology, or another relevant clinical or technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a clinical environment, ideally with hands-on support in the Operating Room or in the use of advanced surgical devices.
  • Proven ability to provide technical and clinical support during live procedures.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to remain calm, professional, and solution-oriented in high-pressure situations.
  • Solid understanding of surgical workflows, hospital environments, and the needs of clinical stakeholders.
  • Strong presentation, facilitation, and training skills, with the ability to explain complex clinical and technical topics in a clear and engaging way.
  • Ability to connect clinical support and education activities to broader business objectives, including market growth and therapy adoption.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and clinical teams is highly desirable.
  • Fluency in Polish and professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently across Poland, with occasional international travel for training and development.
  • Valid driving license required.
