Territory Sales Manager
Stanley Black & Decker, Inc.
• Grow the business within the assigned territory through maintaining existing customer relationships and generating new business through relationship development, cold calling, and customer meetings • Analyzing competitor activities in the region and assessing opportunities for business development • Keeping up to date with industry news and trends to identify opportunities for new business • Attending relevant industry events and conferences, as needed, to generate business and sales • Acts as a liaison between the Customer, Customer Service, and Manufacturing Facility • Working to achieve revenue targets and KPI’s such as product quotas, yearly sales quotas, NPD sales requirements, minimum quote funnel requirement, as set by the business • Communicate and coordinate activities with Regional Sales Manager, other Territory Sales Manager, Segment Managers, National Distribution Manager, and any other Storage Solutions representatives who could assist with a project or account • Develop a complete knowledge and understanding of all the Smart Storage products • Conduct distributor and end user product training on all Storage Solutions products and offerings including existing product, new product, and additional services (literature, Digital Applications & Tools) • Develop and leverage distributor partnership to meet assigned Territory revenue targets • Manage and operate within a specific Travel and Entertainment budget • Abide by any and all Stanley Black & Decker Business Conduct rules and regulations • Traveling duties consist of calling on end users and distribution, meeting and working with local TSM’s, to drive sales within a region. Limited additional travel (outside of territory) may be required for training and company-wide meetings.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred (Business, Sales, Management preferred or equivalent fields)
- Minimum 5 years of sales experience in industrial products or related complex commercial product sales
- Experience with direct sales as well as through dealer/distributors preferred
- Ability to develop and present programs to both customers and sales organization
- Knowledgeable with use of computers, MS Office products and CAD software a positive
- Experience with Salesforce.com.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Self-motivated with high energy
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills
- Ability to plan and execute responsibilities working independently
- Excellent driving record
- Ability to travel every day in territory to attend sales meetings and/or shows as required
- Required to work and travel on weekends and outside core business hours as needed for Business Events: Trade Shows, Customer Meetings, etc.
