Role Description Wabtec is currently looking to hire an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our expanding cloud technology hub. The DevOps AWS Engineer will be responsible for automating and supporting Wabtec Enterprise Tools cloud-based platforms and services in an agile environment. - Responsible for defining and automating a wide range of cloud-based middleware platforms, PaaS offerings, and SaaS offerings in a fast-paced and agile environment using the latest cloud technologies and infrastructure. - Support a growing catalog of cloud-based middleware and developer tools such as Gitlab, IBM MQ, RedHat Fuse, Xwiki, Akana, and more. - Leverage tools such as Terraform, Chef, GitLab, and other DevOps tooling to automate our cloud-based platforms. - Demonstrate the ability to mentor less experienced team members by helping to remove blocking issues communicated by team members during daily Agile stand-up meetings. - Adhere to goals, SLAs, and deadlines for all projects and support tickets. - Participate and coordinate releases with various stakeholders. - Occasional on-call support availability. - Assisting with the daily operation of the organization including projects, support tickets, and other daily operational activities as needed. - Provide technical support and project support. - Troubleshoot Middleware. - Continuously improve existing technical products and services. Qualifications - Completed Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Systems Analysis, Software engineering, or other STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math). - 4-6 years of experience in Information Technology. - Upper-Intermediate/Advanced English. - Willingness to work all hours across different time zones. - Able to work in shifts. Requirements - Minimum of 3 years of experience in Terraform. - Minimum of 4 years of experience with Bash scripting. - Minimum of 4 years of experience with Linux. - Minimum of 4 years of experience working in any one of the cloud environments (AWS, Azure, etc.). - Minimum of 4 years of experience building DevOps CI / CD pipelines. - Experience working on Agile teams leveraging GitLab, Chef, GitHub, Jenkins, Ansible, and other CI/CD enablers. - Experience with Kubernetes, EKS, OpenShift, Docker, or other containerization experience is required. • Work closely with security, development, and operations teams to ensure alignment with DoD RMF, NIST SP 800-53, and/or FedRAMP. • Collaborate with Information System Security Officers (ISSOs), Information Systems Security Managers (ISSMs) and Security Control Assessors for ATO package development. • Serve as an internal primary subject matter expert in federal compliance standards and cybersecurity practices. • Design, implement, and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines aligned with DoD Enterprise DevSecOps Reference Design (DSOP). • Automate deployment of secure environments using Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation for DoD or FedRAMP-compliant systems. • Implement and manage DevSecOps tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, ArgoCD, Harbor, Nexus, SonarQube, Anchore, etc. • Develop scripts and tools for compliance validation (e.g., OpenSCAP, Chef InSpec, PowerSTIG).

• Design and operate a fleet of Kubernetes (EKS) clusters across production, staging, and ephemeral environments, ensuring reliability and high availability • Evolve AWS infrastructure and network architecture (VPCs, subnets, IAM, account structure) to support scalable, multi-team workloads • Build and maintain infrastructure-as-code and GitOps workflows using tools such as Terraform, CDK, and ArgoCD • Improve platform reliability and performance by defining and driving SLOs, analyzing incidents, and implementing systemic fixes • Participate in and help improve the on-call rotation, leading incident response and post-incident reviews to drive systemic platform improvements • Partner with SRE, Delivery, InfoSec, and product/ML teams to land high-impact infrastructure changes and platform standards • Drive improvements in developer experience by simplifying platform usage, reducing toil, and enabling faster product and ML development • Contribute to cost efficiency initiatives by optimizing resource utilization across Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure

• Own the reliability, performance, and scalability of Fuse's database infrastructure across Postgres and ClickHouse • Build and maintain scalable, reliable data pipelines to support analytics, reporting, and product needs • Own the design and evolution of analytical schemas, translating business logic into structured, intuitive data models • Migrate and transform data from Postgres into ClickHouse, ensuring performance and reliability • Develop and maintain DBT models that reflect our business domain and make data easily accessible for teams • Implement tests and data quality checks to ensure reliable and trustworthy datasets • Identify and eliminate duplicates, improve data consistency, and enforce clean modelling standards • Manage all database and infrastructure changes through IaC — minimise direct DB modifications
