Job Description
Commercial IO Manager
StackAdapt
Role Description We are seeking a Commercial IO Manager to serve as the dedicated commercial owner of IO review and negotiation: partnering with Account Executives (AEs) in client deals, leading an active portfolio of IO improvement projects, and building automated and scalable processes. This is a commercial partnership role, not a legal or support role. You will act as the commercial expert who protects StackAdapt’s interests in real-time deal conversations — giving AEs a specialist partner. This role partners closely with Sales, Legal, Finance, Ad Ops, and Platform, and carries an immediate roadmap with measurable impact from day one. As StackAdapt is a Remote-First company, you will work as part of a highly collaborative remote team. This role is open to candidates located anywhere in Canada or the US. Occasional travel may be required. What you’ll be doing - Own the IO book: - Own end-to-end commercial review, editing, and processing of all Insertion Orders, working from StackAdapt’s IO templates, standard positions, and internally-approved language. - Partner with and advise the AE, and approve or apply approved redline language directly. - Bridge the functions: - Serve as the connective tissue between Sales, Legal, Finance, Ad Ops, and Platform on all IO-related matters — coordinating delivery, payment, and operational requirements and tracking issues to resolution. - Drive the project portfolio: - Lead an active portfolio of IO improvement projects, and contribution to end-to-end IO process streamlining from media plan to campaign launch. - Build the operating model: - Set the standard and guide process for campaign amendments and IO approvals from a revenue perspective, designing repeatable, scalable workflows rather than just executing within them. - Leverage AI: - Use StackAdapt’s AI tooling to accelerate IO review and develop agents and repositories that let AEs handle defined, pre-approved issues independently. Qualifications - Experience in commercial operations, deal desk, or revenue operations in an adtech, media, or SaaS environment. - Familiarity with programmatic advertising concepts, campaign mechanics, and IO structures. - A commercial professional who can read a contract, identify the business implications of a term, and distinguish a reasonable client ask from one that creates real risk. - A clear, confident communicator who can represent StackAdapt’s position credibly. - Process-oriented — capable of designing and owning workflows, not just executing within them. - Able to navigate cross-functional relationships across Sales, Legal, Finance, and Platform without relying on formal authority. - Comfort using AI tools to accelerate commercial and contract workflow is essential. - Comfortable with ambiguity, and energized by a fast-paced environment; strong attention to detail and the ability to own and manage multiple projects end to end. Requirements - The compensation range listed for this role reflects the expected base salary for candidates located in Ontario, Canada. - This range represents base salary only. Depending on the role, candidates may also be eligible for additional compensation such as annual bonuses, commissions, equity awards, and a comprehensive benefits package. - Factors Influencing Final Compensation: - The final compensation offer will be determined by a variety of factors, which may include, but are not limited to: the candidate's specific experience, technical skills, knowledge, abilities, and relevant education, licensure, and certifications. - Other business factors, such as organizational needs and budget alignment, may also be considered in the final offer. Benefits - Highly competitive salary - Retirement/401K/Pension Savings globally - Competitive Paid time off packages including birthday's off! - Access to a comprehensive mental health care program - Health benefits from day one of employment - Work from home reimbursements - Optional global WeWork membership for those who want a change from their home office and hubs in London and Toronto - Robust training and onboarding program - Coverage and support of personal development initiatives (conferences, courses, books etc) - Access to StackAdapt programmatic courses and certifications to support continuous learning - An awesome parental leave program - A friendly, welcoming, and supportive culture - Our social and team events!
