Veregy
• The Engineer II, Controls will quickly gain an understanding and working knowledge of Veregy’s Digital Service and Building Automation offerings. • The individual will utilize this understanding to manage services contracted with various clients. • These services include regular BAS system performance monitoring and maintenance, BAS system upgrade design and installation, software service performance monitoring and maintenance, and energy analytics. • The individual will be responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of contracted services as well as customer communication. • The position includes oversight of engineering support, creating, and maintaining project and service contract schedules, creating cost estimates, direct customer interaction, periodic owner training sessions, progress reporting, contract management, and project budget management. • Designs, programs, monitors, maintains, and optimizes building automation systems and graphical user interfaces. • Reports on service activities and progress regularly. • Participates in project development and cost estimation activities. • Responds to and rectifies customer issues or occupant comfort complaints or building automation issues in a timely manner. • Communicates with internal project resources (i.e. other Veregy departments) and verifies contract expectations and execution standards are met. • Manages contract budgets and reports progress.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering – Mechanical, Electrical, or Software.
- 3+ years in building automation system design, implementation, and project management.
- Minimum of 1 year experience with building automation system project development or estimating.
- HVAC Install experience is a plus.
- Niagara experience.
- Distech or Reliable Controls experience.
- Knowledge of Veregy’s services and processes is required which can be obtained through intellect, technical inclination, and dedication to gain such knowledge.
- Knowledge (Intermediate to advanced) of various operating systems, software products (e.g. MS Office, etc.), is required.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time/workload.
- Ability to analyze and problem-solve.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Ability to collaborate with other engineers or clients to methodically solve complex problems.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management and staff.

Role Description We are seeking an experienced Lead Rulebook Configurator to lead the configuration and implementation of insurance products, pricing models, underwriting rules, and workflow components within Verisk Rulebook / Sequel Rulebook. The role sits at the intersection of insurance domain, pricing model interpretation, rules configuration, business analysis, and stakeholder engagement. The individual will work closely with senior stakeholders from Underwriting, Actuarial, Operations, Product, IT, and Change teams, primarily in the London Market / specialty insurance environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong configuration mindset, excellent analytical ability, hands-on experience with Rulebook or similar rules/rating platforms, and the confidence to translate complex Excel-based pricing models and underwriting guidelines into structured, governed Rulebook configurations. Key Responsibilities - Lead the configuration of insurance products, rating algorithms, underwriting rules, referral rules, eligibility rules, authority checks, and workflow logic within Rulebook. - Convert Excel-based pricing models into Rulebook-compatible configuration components, ensuring calculation accuracy and business alignment. - Configure rating tables, factors, modifiers, risk attributes, premium calculations, validations, and business rules. - Configure and maintain Rulebook pages, page flows, page linking, product structures, and user journeys. - Support document generation logic, quote outputs, pricing worksheets, and downstream data outputs where applicable. - Ensure reusable configuration patterns are applied across products/classes to improve maintainability and consistency.
