Job Description

Software Engineer, IFS Cloud

InfoConsulting

• Design, develop, and unit test custom extensions within IFS Cloud using the IFS Developer Studio and extensibility framework. • Build and maintain integrations between IFS Cloud and third-party systems in line with approved integration specifications. • Develop custom reports, layouts, and dashboards within IFS Cloud to meet client business requirements. • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code in line with ICAU's development standards and IFS Cloud best practice. • Participate in code reviews, both giving and receiving feedback, to maintain consistent code quality across the team. • Troubleshoot and resolve defects identified during SIT, UAT, and post-go-live hypercare support. • Support version control discipline and release packaging for custom development components. • Work closely with Systems Engineers to understand configuration context and ensure custom development integrates cleanly with platform configuration. • Escalate technical blockers, design ambiguity, or scope concerns to the Software Architect in a timely manner. • Maintain technical documentation for developed components, including design notes, test evidence, and deployment instructions.

Job Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience developing custom extensions within IFS Cloud or IFS Applications using the IFS Developer Studio.
  • Working knowledge of the IFS Cloud extensibility framework, including client and projection development concepts.
  • Experience building integrations using REST/OData APIs, IFS Connect, or similar middleware/integration approaches.
  • Solid understanding of relational databases and SQL, with experience writing and troubleshooting queries.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g. Git) and structured release/deployment processes.
  • Experience working within a structured software development lifecycle, including unit testing and code review practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to debug issues across configuration, integration, and custom code layers.
  • Relevant IFS Cloud development certifications desirable.
  • Prior experience in an ERP or enterprise application development environment desirable.
