Role Description Our team is seeking Design Temps for a 4-month project to lead the design exploration and optimization of our secondary math resources. We are hiring for two distinct roles through this single posting: - Digital-Focused Track: Heavily rooted in Figma, focusing on transforming comprehensive, content-dense, print-centric materials into seamless print-to-digital student and teacher experiences. - Print/TIG-Focused Track: Heavily rooted in Adobe InDesign, focusing on the layout optimization of our data-dense Teacher’s Implementation Guides (TIGs) to reduce cognitive overload and streamline lesson flow. Regardless of the track, the ideal candidates specialize in complex content design, visual hierarchy, and cross-media design (print and digital). You will partner closely with content experts to ensure restructuring improves usability without compromising pedagogical rigor. What Your Day Will Look Like - Design Exploration & Prototyping: Execute end-to-end design explorations, wireframes, and high-fidelity mockups (using Figma for the digital track or InDesign for the print track) to seamlessly bridge physical text with online platforms. - Information Architecture: Restructure complex instructional math text, data, and pedagogical callouts using proven visual hierarchy, negative space, and structural cues. - Systemic Iconography: Establish an intuitive visual language or icon framework that links print components directly to digital platforms. - Usability-Focused Layout Design: Create flexible page structures that help teachers prepare efficiently before class and navigate confidently during instruction. - Content Preservation & Collaboration: Partner with content experts to ensure visual restructuring improves presentation without compromising the deep value or rigor of the pedagogical content. Role Description The primary responsibility of this role is to develop and maintain instructional training materials (both Instructor-Led and eLearning), including course curriculum, facilitator guides, participant guides, job aids, and other content, utilizing established and effective instructional systems design (ISD) methodology. This position will focus approximately 80% on Instructional Design and 20% on Training. - Develop and present clinical training programs in performance management and leadership development. - Facilitate training sessions in both classroom and virtual settings. - Assess needs; analyze necessary outcomes and implement appropriate learning and development design solutions. - Develop and maintain instructional training materials (Instructor-Led and eLearning) including course curriculum, facilitator guides, participant guides, job aids, and other content using established and effective ISD methodology. Provide recommendations on the most effective delivery modality. - Work in partnership with subject matter experts to gather information needed to develop training content. - Apply best practices in online instructional design and current theoretical frameworks. - Keep training content up-to-date in a timely manner to ensure employees have the most current information. - Manage pre-and post-learning activities, communications, and materials. - Evaluate the effectiveness of courses, update programs, and continuously improve the quality of training & development programs. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Adult Learning, Instructional System Design, or related fields is preferred but not required. - At least three years’ experience designing and delivering clinical Instructor Led and online training for adult learners and clinicians. Requirements - Proficiency in training facilitation and presentation (in person and virtual). - Demonstrated knowledge of key learning design concepts such as outcomes-based curriculum development and competency-based programs. - Proficiency with course development using e-learning authoring tools, such as Articulate Storyline, Canva, 7Taps, and other multimedia programs. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, Adobe, and Excel. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a highly collaborative team.
