HR Generalist

• Serve as the first point of contact for employee and manager HR questions. • Support recruiting efforts, including screening candidates, scheduling interviews, preparing offers, and coordinating onboarding. • Facilitate new hire orientation and ensure a smooth onboarding experience. • Administer employee benefits, including enrollments, qualifying life events, and employee inquiries. • Coordinate leave administration, including FMLA, ADA accommodations, workers' compensation, paid family leave, and other applicable leave programs. • Partner with managers to address employee relations concerns, performance management, coaching, disciplinary actions, and investigations. • Maintain employee records and HRIS data to ensure accuracy and confidentiality. • Process employee status changes, compensation updates, promotions, and terminations. • Assist with payroll changes and partner with Payroll to ensure accurate processing. • Draft HR communications, policies, employment letters, and other documentation. • Support performance review and merit increase processes. • Assist with immigration, relocation, and onboarding documentation as needed. • Coordinate compliance training and maintain training records. • Monitor compliance with employment laws and company policies. • Assist with annual HR initiatives including Open Enrollment, compensation reviews, compliance reporting, and employee engagement activities. • Prepare HR reports, dashboards, and workforce metrics. • Participate in special projects and continuous process improvement initiatives.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
- 3-5 years of progressive Human Resources experience.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and HR best practices.
- Experience supporting employee relations, recruiting, benefits administration, leave management, and HR operations.
- Working knowledge of FMLA, ADA, FLSA, COBRA, and other employment-related regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, adapt to changing priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and independently researching and resolving issues with minimal direction.
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive information.
- Strong customer service mindset with the ability to build trusted relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
- Experience with HRIS systems (ADP Workforce Now preferred).
- Experience with applicant tracking systems and onboarding platforms (ClearCompany experience preferred).
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification is a plus.

Key Responsibilities - Drive enterprise people strategies, programs, and decisions that strengthen organizational effectiveness and business performance. - Manage the Director of International HR and functional HR Business Partners while leading the global Employee Relations and Enterprise Talent Management functions. - Manage the Director of Inclusion & Employee Experience while leading the global Employee Experience & Inclusion, Learning & Development, and Workplace Experience functions. - Partner with executives on workforce planning, organizational design, leadership effectiveness, and change management. - Provide expert guidance on complex employee relations matters, workplace investigations, performance issues, organizational change, and employment law, in partnership with our Legal team. - Partner with Legal and business leaders to manage employment risk and ensure compliance across all regions where Rover operates. - Lead enterprise-wide programs that strengthen engagement, belonging, and workplace culture. - Leverage employee feedback, workforce data, and technology to identify opportunities and drive continuous improvement. - Champion modern, technology-enabled People practices, including the thoughtful adoption of AI tools and innovative ways of working. - Build, coach, and develop high-performing leaders and teams.
