Job Description

FHA Claims Specialist

Freedom Mortgage

• Responsible for filing all FHA Part B claims and non-conveyance claims including CWCOT, SFLS, and Loss Mitigation claims • Follow up on all claim payments and title package submission to HUD • Monitor attorney firms to ensure timely submission of title packages • File all Part B expense claims within insurer/investor timeframes • Work to resolve exceptions on suspended claim funds • Monitor daily reports and queues • Keep Manager informed of trends and issues related to FHA claims • Schedule work effectively to reduce costs • Comply with instructions provided by Manager accurately and timely • Maintain regular and punctual attendance

Job Requirements

  • Basic knowledge and experience with FHA, default guidelines and requirements
  • Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment

  • Microsoft office experience and advanced Excel knowledge

Role Description This role provides leadership and oversight for all crop insurance claim investigations and settlements within the assigned district, ensuring accurate coverage interpretation, adherence to regulatory and company procedures, timely claim resolution, and the delivery of exceptional customer service throughout the claims process. - Collaborates and coordinates to establish and achieve goals for assigned areas. - Monitors and measures metrics to improve results, efficiencies and adherence to claims goals, policies and procedures. - Assures consistency across claims operations for assigned areas. - Provides guidance and counsel to claims personnel with respect to the investigation, evaluation, negotiation and settlement of all crop claims. - Supervises the development of assigned staff, including succession planning and administering and monitoring employee development to align with corporate and divisional needs. - Manages the implementation and maintenance of disaster recovery plans and activities in assigned areas. - Maintains current contact information for all employees in applicable areas and communicates with non-recovery employees during a disaster. Qualifications - Typically requires 6+ years of relevant experience or a combination of related experience, education and training. Requirements - This position allows full-time field work within the territory for this position which includes Hancock, McDonough, Fulton, Cass, Brown, Schuyler, Adams, Pike, Scott, Morgan, Sangamon, Christian, Macoupin, Greene, Jersey, Calhoun, and Montgomery counties and surrounding areas.
