VIATechnik is seeking a senior Electrical VDC leader to drive the successful delivery of large-scale, high-impact digital construction programs. This is not a pure modeling role - it's a strategic leadership position responsible for guiding complex electrical VDC projects from kickoff through closeout while developing high-performing global teams. What You'll Be Accountable For - Deliver Complex Electrical VDC Programs - Lead multiple large-scale electrical VDC projects from kickoff through closeout. - Establish execution plans, manage risks proactively, align distributed teams, and ensure delivery meets scope, quality, schedule, and budget commitments. - Act as a Trusted Client Advisor - Build strong, lasting relationships with key client stakeholders. - Provide strategic guidance on constructability, scope optimization, and digital delivery strategies - becoming the go-to electrical VDC expert for your portfolio. - Build and Develop High-Performing Teams - Lead and mentor VDC Managers, Engineers, and Detailers. - Align workloads to strengths, set clear expectations, and elevate performance standards while strengthening engagement and retention. - Drive Operational & Financial Discipline - Own financial performance across projects - forecasting, invoicing, staffing models, and margin predictability. - Implement systems that reduce rework, improve forecasting accuracy, and surface risks early. How You'll Elevate Delivery - Develop detailed project plans, staffing models, and risk registers. - Maintain rigorous electrical model quality and scope compliance. - Collaborate with sales and leadership on technical strategy and proposals. - Coordinate effectively across global teams and time zones. - Lead training and knowledge-sharing initiatives. - Integrate AI and automation tools to improve modeling accuracy, clash detection, forecasting, and coordination workflows. Qualifications - Deep expertise in electrical BIM/VDC delivery. - Experience leading complex, multi-project programs. - Strong client-facing communication and advisory skills. - Financial oversight and forecasting experience. - A track record of developing high-performing teams. Benefits - The pay for this position is $110,000 – $130,000, and the role is eligible for bonuses. - Health insurance with the choice of five plan options. • Power your future with Qualus in our Engineering department as a Lead Engineer - Electrical. • The Lead Engineer role is responsible for delivering medium and low voltage electrical design solutions for outdoor and unit substations, power transformers, protection and control schemes, and related EPC projects in both brownfield and greenfield environments. • This position develops equipment specifications, reviews field data, and performs system studies including coordination, short circuit, and arc flash analysis. • The Lead Engineer collaborates with CAD staff to produce and update electrical drawings, and provides technical recommendations based on power monitoring data. • Acting as a Qualus representative, this role supports sales during customer site walks and leads cross-functional interactions to ensure optimal project outcomes. • Additional responsibilities include resource planning, project kickoff participation, adherence to safety standards, accurate documentation for invoicing, and coordination with suppliers to meet material and equipment requirements.

You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to realise new and novel products. - Leading and managing end to end execution of new-to-world development programme orchestrating the interdependent fields of electronics, mechanical and industrial design. - Collaborative mindset and ability to work well in a multi-disciplinary team. - Product focussed approach to engineering and development. - Experience with product development workflows, such as waterfall, agile or other, to meet product goals. - Experience in the design of electronics PCBAs and hardware (digital, analog, high speed, RF, power, motor control etc). - Experience in the full lifecycle of electronics development, such as concept architecture, implementation, planning and execution of compliance activities (e.g. EMC and electrical safety) and transfer to production. - Proficiency with Altium Designer. - Experience in the Design for Test, Manufacture, Assembly etc. - Project & product risk assessment including de-risking process management. - A focus on delivery of products to market. - Experience integrating hardware and software. - Compliance with internal processes. Qualifications - Experience with detailed compliance activities associated with safety standards such as IEC 60601, IEC 62368, IEC 61010 etc. - Experience in a consulting environment. - Ability to articulate and control how electronics development affects broader project constraints to clients and external stakeholders. - In depth knowledge and demonstrated proficiency in a range of electronics sub-disciplines (digital, analog, high speed, RF, power, motor control etc). - Detailed experience in the integration of embedded firmware and software in hardware (such as STM32, nRF, iMX series of processors). - Follow company standard documentation and procedures including ISO13485:2016. - Degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
