Lead Solutions Manager - HR-GL Apps

Role Description University Information Services (UIS) provides technical services and enterprise applications to the University of Colorado campuses and the Office of the President. UIS is committed to excellence in customer service and technical expertise. Through the development of enterprise applications, UIS supports the University as a whole with systems used by students, faculty, human resources employees, finance employees, and others. The Lead Solutions Manager (HR-GL Applications) will be responsible for technical and functional oversight of the HR-GL and all HR-GL related components of the Human Capital Management (HCM) System. The Lead Solutions Manager will work closely with: - HR-GL Campus Stakeholder groups - Chief Human Resource Officers - Employee Services Leadership and Staff - Other module Solutions Managers - Office of University Controllers (OUC) This position reports to the Director of HR IT Services and is exempt from the State of Colorado Classified Staff System. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education. A combination of education, technology training and industry certifications, and related experience may substitute for the degree on a year for year basis. - Three (3) years’ experience to include: - Working within a PeopleSoft application - Utilizing PeopleSoft Query - Working with HR-GL or Finance Processes and Programs - Knowledge of higher education or other complex business processes - Supporting multiple applications - Two (2) years’ experience to include: - PeopleSoft upgrades and PUM/Selective adoption cycles - Testing software - Writing test plans Requirements - Knowledge of PeopleTools configuration to include Approval Workflow Engine, Templates, Profile Management, Related Content, etc. - Knowledge of the project management lifecycle - Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) - Knowledge of and the ability to utilize SQL for mining data using a tool such as TOAD or SQL Developer - Knowledge of software testing methodologies and best practices - Ability to work independently and under pressure, to manage concurrent tasks and responsibilities, and to deal with changing priorities, while maintaining personal effectiveness. - Ability to multi-task several testing projects - Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, other University Personnel, and the public. - Skilled in effective communication, collaboration, and problem-solving. - Personnel management skills Benefits - No-cost or low-cost medical & dental plan options, some inclusive of IVF assistance. - Disability, Life, Vision Insurance options. - Multiple retirement planning options including a mandatory 401(a) plan where CU contributes 10% of your gross pay, a 401k or 403b plan and a 457 deferred compensation plan. - Pre-tax savings plans, such as Health care and Dependent care flexible spending accounts. - Ample sick and vacation leave, along with at least 12 paid holidays, including a dedicated week off for winter break. - 6 weeks of parental leave to adjust to the joys of parenthood. - A tuition benefit program for you and/or your dependents. - Free RTD EcoPass and free onsite parking at our 1800 Grant Street Office. - Many additional perks & programs with the CU Advantage. - Additional taxable fringe benefits may be available.
