The role:SoFi is seeking a Finance Technology Manager to lead high-impact initiatives that modernize finance processes, strengthen our systems architecture, and enable AI and automation capabilities across the Finance organization. This role sits within the Finance Transformation, BI & Systems team under the Controllership and serves as a key liaison between Finance, IT, and cross-functional stakeholders. The ideal candidate combines hands-on finance systems expertise with strong project leadership and the ability to translate business needs into scalable technology solutions. The Finance Technology Manager owns the intersection of finance process transformation and systems architecture. You will design and optimize finance technology solutions, lead cross-functional implementation workstreams, and help shape the long-term evolution of SoFi’s finance system ecosystem. From close cycle acceleration and reconciliation automation to system integrations and AI tool adoption, you will manage complex initiatives end-to-end with a focus on measurable, scalable outcomes. What you’ll do: - Design and help maintain the finance technology architecture and system ecosystem roadmap, ensuring alignment with business strategy and near-term operational needs - Partner closely with the Workday team to coordinate system enhancements, integrations, and ensure Workday aligns with broader finance technology strategy - Architect and document integrations and data flows between Workday and adjacent finance systems including reconciliation platforms, expense and procurement tools, BI platforms, and analytics solutions - Lead or support subledger identification, reconciliation design, and GL mapping initiatives, ensuring accurate and auditable transaction flow from source systems through to the general ledger - Evaluate and recommend financial technologies and tools to address gaps and drive innovation across the finance function - Lead process automation initiatives leveraging RPA, AI, and workflow tools to streamline finance operations - Identify system redundancies and optimization opportunities across the finance technology stack - Partner with Finance, Accounting, Procurement, Technology, and enterprise architecture teams to gather requirements, evaluate solutions, and maintain alignment with business goals and internal controls - Support month-end and quarter-end close processes through cross-system coordination and troubleshooting - Lead and deliver finance transformation initiatives with a focus on close cycle reduction, process automation, and scalable system design - Support the Finance AI Operating Model by contributing to discovery, build, and deployment of AI and automation use cases within the Finance function - Coordinate M&A integration workstreams impacting Finance systems, data, and processes as needed - Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation including system design specifications, integration requirements, process workflows, and architectural decision records What you'll need: - Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field; CPA, MBA, or equivalent certification a plus - 8+ years of experience in finance systems, finance technology, or finance transformation roles, preferably in high-growth or technology-driven environments - Strong working knowledge of Workday Financials including chart of accounts structure, GL configuration, and integration capabilities a plus - Hands-on experience with reconciliation platforms such as Cadency/Trintech; familiarity with subledger reconciliation and GL mapping workflows a plus - Broad familiarity with the finance technology landscape including data warehousing and analytics (Snowflake), financial planning tools, expense and procurement systems (Coupa), and BI and reporting platforms (Tableau/Rollstack) - Demonstrated ability to create clear system and data flow diagrams (current and future state) using tools such as Visio, Lucidchart, or similar - Experience architecting or supporting system integrations, APIs, and middleware platforms in a finance context - Familiarity with process automation tools (RPA, workflow automation) and AI/ML applications in finance - Understanding of data architecture principles and experience working with data warehousing or analytics platforms - Proven ability to manage complex, competing-priority projects with a structured and organized approach - Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority and translate technical concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences - Experience supporting financial close processes and a working understanding of close automation opportunities - Experience in financial services, fintech, or a publicly traded company environment is a plus Compensation and Benefits The base pay range for this role is listed below. • Operate and administer NASA’s Power Platform, Power BI, and automation services in alignment with NEAS governance, security baselines, and change control processes. • Provide Tier 2/3 support across Dev/Test/Prod environments, including NAMS role configuration, connector governance, and license/DLP oversight. • Monitor workspace usage, capacity, audit logs, and service health, and publish dashboards and operational metrics. • Enforce governance standards related to workspaces, sharing controls, connector guardrails, gateway operations, and data security requirements. • Prepare governance documentation such as CAB packages, MOUs, connector artifacts, and compliance evidence. • Implement ALM using managed solutions and pipelines, including deployment planning, rollback procedures, configuration snapshots, and run history retention. • Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and knowledge sharing support to junior staff and peers to strengthen team capability. • Coordinate team workflows, task dependencies, delivery schedules, and cross functional collaboration to support timely and efficient execution. • Review technical work products for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with NEAS standards. • Communicate with developers, stakeholders, vendors, and customers to resolve issues, clarify requirements, and support ongoing operational decisions. • Support platform reliability through capacity planning, preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and issue resolution. • Maintain clear and accurate documentation including configuration baselines, testing records, and operational procedures. • Design and deploy solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse, Copilot Studio, and related automation technologies. • Develop and optimize data models, Power Query logic, DAX calculations, and RLS to support performance requirements. • Support intake and discovery processes, gather requirements, develop PDDs, and translate them into JIRA work items. • Coordinate testing, UAT, pipeline deployments, delivery progress, and risk tracking while ensuring strong stakeholder communication. • Contribute to NEAS Communities of Practice through training materials, documentation, and best practice guidance.
