Senior Project Manager

Role Description The Project Manager will provide overall management, direction, and oversight for multiple projects, establish project objectives, deliverables and policies, act as liaison with customers, monitor project status and financial activities through administrative direction of customers. The Project Manager is ultimately responsible for the success of their projects, i.e., completing each project on time, within budget, and satisfying the customer. They are responsible for producing accurate, extremely detailed, and time-sensitive submittals, change order proposals, as well as material orders for commercial construction projects. They are also responsible for maintaining and driving higher profit margins for their projects. Duties & Responsibilities: - Read and interpret contract documents, including but not limited to scope of work, requests for proposal, project schedules, drawings/details, specifications, and opening schedules. - Responsible for capturing all pertinent scope changes and maintenance of project’s financials to ensure project’s success, measured in timeliness of materials and ability to maximize profitability. - Familiarity and competency with application of financial attributes: List pricing, buying programs, discounts and change order proposals. - Maximize buyout opportunities via suggestion of alternate products, value engineering options and other creative or proactive solutions. - Must be able to apply DFH knowledge of codes and standards, hardware templates, hardware locations, pre-fit sizing, machining sheets. Identify and articulate potential issues with applications, codes, and constructability and be able to provide solutions. - DFH Product knowledge: Hardware, Hollow Metal, Wood Doors, Interior Aluminum and Specialty Openings. - Prepare or work with detailer to create detailed submittals, shop drawings and product data utilizing state of the art industry software; Bluebeam/AutoCAD/Comsense. - Responsible for procurement in alignment with customer deadlines of materials through purchase orders and via machining sheets, templates and vendor ordering platforms. Ensure receipt of order acknowledgements. - Maintain constant and effective communication/collaboration with S&S Estimator, Detailer, Customers and Vendors to ensure that project materials meet specifications and/or expectations and that they are on time and on/under budget. - Generate RFIs and clarifications as well as provide practical solutions for any potential technical issues discovered during detailing process. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in a related field. - DHI Certifications. - Proficiency with Comsense Opening Suite or other similar industry software. - Proficient with manufacturer’s order writing programs: Assa Abloy (Extranet/CRC Dash), Curries (COW/Edge), Allegion (360 Portal), dormakaba, Masonite (DoorBuilder/DoorBuilder LIVE), VT (VT Online), Total Door (Doorbuilder). - Ability to provide design build assistance and specification writing. - Ability to lead and manage a successful project management team if/when required. Requirements - 7+ years in DFH distribution as a Project Manager with Detailing experience. - High level of strategy, proactive engagement to move through project ordering effectively; holds others accountable. - Manages and maintains vendor relationships. - Capitalizes on potential opportunities for companywide advantages. - Works on complex projects. - Ability to stand in for operations teams as needed. - Advanced knowledge of ISEC products, services, processes and projects. - Exposure to multiple or larger projects with increased scope and complexity. - Independent decision making. - Fully autonomous in position. - Directs activities; offers recommendations and solutions. - Demonstrates problem solving and mature judgement in anticipating and solving issues. - Assist in development/mentoring of Project Managers, Detailers and Project Coordinators; may have multiple direct reports. - May assist with hiring and performance reviews. • Act as the primary point of contact for asset approvals, managing the flow of creative files, copy, and feedback between internal teams and clients via Slack, email, and other platforms • Track and enforce brand-specific processes and workflows, ensuring each account’s unique requirements are consistently followed • Document clear action items and next steps after meetings, and follow up to ensure completion • Monitor project timelines and deliverables to keep campaigns on track and on schedule • Support Account Managers and Creative Strategists by removing blockers and ensuring tasks are completed on time • Proactively address delays by having candid conversations with internal team members when tasks start to fall behind, helping to identify solutions and get projects back on track • Maintain organized records of assets, feedback, and campaign approvals • Coordinate and schedule calls between internal team members and clients
