Legal Specialist, Business Counsel

Solventum

• Provide day-to-day legal support to commercial, marketing, and functional teams, helping translate legal requirements into practical business guidance • Serve as a first-line reviewer and issue spotter for routine commercial and operational matters, identifying legal and compliance risks and escalating to lawyers as appropriate • Support marketing and claims review activities, coordinating closely with Regulatory, Quality, Intellectual Property, Privacy, and Compliance partners • Assist in supporting contracting-related matters, working with lawyers and cross-functional stakeholders to help facilitate efficient execution • Maintain and enhance legal processes, templates, and guidance materials to support consistency, efficiency, and scalability • Deliver training and guidance to business stakeholders on legal processes, claims, and key legal concepts related to marketing and promotional activities • Support lawyers in the Dental Solutions and Health Information Systems businesses on a range of day-to-day legal matters and initiatives • Coordinate across Legal, Regulatory, Intellectual Property, Privacy, and Compliance teams to drive alignment and timely execution • Manage priorities across multiple workflows and contribute to continuous improvement of legal processes and tools

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher, OR a diploma, or professional certification in Paralegal Studies or a related discipline
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience working in a legal, compliance, regulatory, contracts, or corporate legal support environment.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience working in a legal specialist, senior paralegal, or comparable legal support role within a corporate, legal, compliance, regulatory, or similar environment.
  • Experience supporting one or more of the following areas: claims review, marketing review, contract administration, or operational legal processes.
