Role Description We're looking for a battle-tested DevOps expert to join our new business unit as a part-time consultant on an ongoing basis. - Mentor our internal DevOps team, helping them level up through real work. - Review our infrastructure and architecture decisions and help us plan how to execute. - Be a trusted second opinion when we're facing a fork in the road. Qualifications - 10+ years in DevOps/infrastructure with significant hands-on Kubernetes in production (large scale, networking, operators). - Experience in dealing with incidents, scaling events, and architectural decisions. - Based in Israel and comfortable working on an invoice/freelance basis. - Clear communication skills and enjoyment in teaching others. Role Description This role is contingent with a projected start date of 1 OCT 2026. Remote Position. The DevSecOps Engineer is part of a skilled IT team that will work independently and collectively with other engineers to identify and test potential enhancements and resolve technical issues with the rapid scaling into production of a logistics middleware application. Essential Functions: - Perform software integration tasks, including scripting, systems analysis, requirements gathering, testing, and documentation. - Provide support to technical writers and testers, manage configuration and system maintenance, utilize source code control to track and safeguard changes to the codebase, and apply software updates. - Collaboratively design, develop, and implement custom ETL scripts while supporting software products as required. - Ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity across the entire pipeline. - Engage directly with customers to create ingestion feeds for unique systems, demonstrating the ability to devise solutions with minimal prior documentation or details about these systems. - Perform infrastructure management functions, including designing, architecting, and implementing scalable infrastructure across multiple networks and application nodes using DevSecOps practices. - Oversee containerization efforts with tools such as HELM and Kubernetes and manage orchestration processes. - Upgrade and migrate applications to containerized environments to enable scalability and transition to a microservices architecture. - Document infrastructure administration, including creation, management, and decommissioning procedures. - Additional duties as assigned.
