Role Description This is a full-time position, working with the Benefits Administration and Claims Advocacy teams and reporting directly to the AVP, Benefit Administration. The position requires day to day claims advocacy for multiple clients. Claim Advocates are expected to provide excellent customer service each day, handle standard claims issues for clients and their employees and provide senior team members with assistance complex appeals as needed. - Act as a liaison between insurance providers and clients regarding employee status and eligibility for coverage - Resolve standard claim issues and provide assistance with complex or non-standard claim appeals - Verify completion and validity of claim forms - Review company records to determine coverage - Calculate amounts of claims and submit for payment - Ensure all client data is entered into CRM System (SalesForce) in a timely manner Qualifications - Knowledge of Medical, Dental, Vision Plans, and Flexible Spending Accounts required - Experience with Insurance Carrier self-service portals and call centers is a plus - Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills - Strong oral and written communication skills - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and demanding environment - Vigorous attention to detail, highly organized, with the ability to balance multiple tasks simultaneously Requirements - Four-year college or university degree or equivalent experience - 1-3 years of benefit administration or claims processing required Certificates, Licenses, Registration - Life, Accident, and Health License a plus or willing to obtain.
