Resource Coordinator

• Manage the Tax department resource pool, tracking utilization, capacity, and staffing needs across tax services • Collaborate with Tax Directors, Engagement Partners, and Project Managers to forecast staffing requirements and assign resources to engagements • Monitor engagement milestones, deadlines, and workload balance; identify and escalate risks to leadership • Maintain accurate staffing analytics and dashboards; provide regular reports to help with capacity planning and budgeting • Facilitate onboarding, ramp-up, and ongoing development of personnel; support timesheet accuracy and compliance • Coordinate with Recruiting and HR to fill resource gaps; support peak-season planning and cross-training initiatives • Maintain and organize knowledge resources, standard tax workflows, and best practices to improve efficiency • Serve as a liaison between Tax teams and other functions (Finance, IT, Quality & Risk) to support cross-functional collaboration • Troubleshoot resource-related issues (availability, skills gaps) and recommend process improvements • Ensure effective use of workload management tools and time-entry systems; champion data integrity
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
- 2–3 years of experience in resource management, staffing, or project coordination in a professional services environment
- Experience in or with tax
- Strong analytical ability with capacity to interpret data and translate it into actionable decisions
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with workload management or ERP/time-entry systems
- Familiarity with tax software or tax workflow tools
- Understanding the tax engagement lifecycle (compliance and planning) is a plus
- Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) is a bonus
