Role Description The Senior Data Engineer leads the design and delivery of scalable, resilient, and high-performing data solutions. This role drives technology innovation through proof-of-concepts, solution evaluations, and integration of emerging tools to meet complex business needs. The position partners with cross-functional teams to establish standards, monitor performance, and enable sustainable data practices across the enterprise. Responsibilities - Lead design and implementation of scalable, secure, and resilient data solutions, ensuring compliance with functional and non-functional requirements. - Collaborate cross-functionally to align data solutions with business strategy and enterprise standards. - Direct the selection and integration of advanced methodologies, frameworks, and technologies for data engineering. - Drive innovation by conducting proof-of-concepts, evaluating new products, and recommending adoption of viable solutions. - Provide guidance and mentorship to intermediate and junior engineers, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices. - Define and monitor performance metrics, ensuring data systems meet operational health, stability, and sustainability goals. - Deliver clear documentation, roadmaps, and technical recommendations for leadership review. - Other duties as assigned. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience; HS diploma from an accredited school or equivalent GED required. - 5 years work experience in data engineering or related field. - Must be eligible to work in the United States without the need for work visa or residency sponsorship. Requirements - Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements (HIPAA, PCI, etc.). - Skilled presenter, able to tailor technical and non-technical material to diverse audiences. - Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills with sound judgment. - Proven ability to translate abstract concepts into stable, supportable solutions. - Strong traits of decisiveness and forward-thinking innovation. - Excellent written documentation and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications - Certifications in Cloud and data technologies preferred. - Relevant ETL or data movement certifications preferred. - Experience in PBM or health care industry. - Experience working in an Agile/Product Delivery model. Benefits Potential pay for this position ranges from $94,000.00 - $160,000.00 based on experience and skills.
