Mechanical Estimator – Pre-Construction Support Specialist
Agent
• Perform accurate quantity takeoffs for commercial mechanical systems, including ductwork and piping for new installations. • Prepare detailed material estimates using company pricing templates and Excel-based estimating tools. • Assist with bid preparation, proposal documentation, and pre-construction planning. • Manage RFIs, submittals, specification reviews, and code revisions throughout the bidding process. • Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain pricing, product information, and quotations. • Review project plans, specifications, and construction documents to identify scope and potential risks. • Maintain organized estimating records and documentation. • Collaborate with Project Managers while working independently in a fast-paced remote environment. • Utilize construction management platforms such as Procore and digital takeoff software throughout the estimating process.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a closely related technical field (preferred).
- 2–3 years of professional experience estimating commercial mechanical construction projects in the US market.
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, ductwork, piping, and mechanical construction methods.
- Experience performing digital quantity takeoffs from construction drawings.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including building and maintaining estimating templates.
- Experience using Procore or similar construction management software.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
- Comfortable working full-time during US Eastern Time business hours.
