Job Description
Licensing Specialist
NFM Lending
• Managing the day-to-day operations of the Licensing Department. • Ensuring compliance with state and federal licensing requirements for mortgage loan originators (MLOs). • Overseeing timely submission and maintenance of licensing applications, renewals, and regulatory filings through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS). • Maintaining accurate licensing records and monitoring regulatory updates. • Supporting compliance with all applicable licensing requirements and assisting the Legal and Compliance Departments with research, reporting, and special projects as needed.
Job Requirements
- Associate degree in Business Administration, Compliance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a role requiring handling sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality.
- Experience working with state and federal mortgage licensing requirements and regulatory filings.
- Familiarity with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) preferred.
- Mortgage industry experience preferred, particularly in compliance, licensing, or regulatory affairs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint).
- Ability to interpret and apply mortgage licensing regulations across multiple states.
- Strong data entry and record-keeping skills to ensure licensing accuracy and compliance.
